I'm gonna assume you're talking about the last part from when you have to wait for Keyes till you get in the cannon.. That part sucked so hard -- especially after Emile dies and you have to fight through that building to take his spot on the gun...... so many terrible memories........

Fighting without Emile is (almost) exactly the same as fighting with Emile. He's fucking useless. He thinks he can snipe with a shotgun. Worse, he thinks he's good at it. Of all the useless squadmates in Reach, Emile is by far the most useless.

I loathed that mission. All of it.

Edit: If Emile had died jumping out of the pelican and you just had to do that mission alone, I would have enjoyed it so much more. Hell, Emile doesn't even have to die. I'm not a spiteful man. Just the fact that he's there talking shit aggroing enemies and getting in my way pissed me off soooooo bad.

W/e level it is where you ride in with Kat and your vehicle gets destroyed at the start was the worst I remember. She was worthless with that pistol..

I was watching Halo cutscenes at work and came across this:

Watch from 4:44 to 5:40.

It's from the original Halo, not the AE. It seems like 343 Guilty Spark is speaking to Chief as if he's Didact. Not vaguely, either, as he specifically references a moment between the two (before Didact fired the Halos previously). I just thought it showed some pretty cool forethought on the part of Bungie as they're introducing the concept of a character that wouldn't appear until 11 years later in Halo 4.

I doubt that was foresight on Bungie's part. Far more likely that they just did that to point out how insane he is, then the author of the novels picked up on it.
