Halo 4

I think we've talked about this before in this thread, but gonna repeat since Metroid has come up again..

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Metroid Prime games (the first is probably in my top 10 games), but Halo is not a Metroid Prime game. I'm going to be incredibly disappointed if it doesn't resemble the Bungie entries in the franchise..

i loved my side scrolling metroid, the gamecube Metroid games made me a sad panda :/

I never got into metroid, but I also hope the single player doesn't stray too far from the Bungie model. Bungie didn't do a very good job to keeping things coherent after halo 3, but before that it was a solid story, even with the major gaps between games. The gameplay and whatnot, though, was always well done in single player, though. There were a few things that ticked me off (especially in later games- like Reach's Falcon-gunner sequence and the generally awful AI of your allies) but on the whole it felt good.

Multiplayer... it seemed to me Bungie had no idea what to do and instead just did whatever MLG told them to. I have strong objections to that. Hopefully 343, building from the ground-up and not on top of Bungie's work, is able to do things right.

Co-worker brought the the rip in today...lets just say Bungie wasn't needed to keep this going. Dumbasses should have just kept making Halo games and filled their wallets. The game is absolutely incredible.

Castle Map Pack (April release timeframe)

Maps: Daybreak, Outcast, Perdition

Description: Daybreak is set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range, while Outcast plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice, and Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features.

Also included in the “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass are two unique in-game helmets (‘Scanner’ and ‘Strider’) that feature new geometry, and an exclusive in-game emblem (‘Falcon’). The “Halo 4” War Games Map Pass is included as part of the Halo 4 Limited Edition.

Since Sky fall is out Friday it made me think Bond and MC are pretty similar in the fact out of the whole companys they work for there about the only one's who actually get shit done

Perdition? God maybe it's the map from halo 2...I can't recall the name but it has 1 warthog and a downed pelican and a FO unsc base in it. Set in New Mombasa

purely not a fan of FPS's as a teenager not really into them now but i remember prime having a lot of weird gliches, i beat the game and never looked back wonderful for its time

is Gamestop or any other retailers having a midnight opening for Halo 4 in the states? i've asked my local GAME and Gamestation both have said they don't believe they are having a midnight opening because Halo isn't as wanted as CoD
