Focusing solely on assassinations was unappealing to me - getting maybe three a match - sacrificing fun and score along the way. We saw a hole, which Bungie accounted for in previous games, and decided to go for it. Wouldn't mind the ban so much IF there was a list of offenses and times given.

There was a list recently released for cod about boosting etc and i'm sure Halo will be following something similiar. Although i'm not sure why you need a list to work out that boosting is a banable offense...

Eh, I just figured it was a hole that they forgot to fill. Bungie was was good at restricting max parties and local guests. Didn't think I had an opportunity to get banned like that. Ban was 24 hours btw.

As far as the boosting part goes: we just assassinated for armor. Took over about an hour for four matches - would have gotten near double the exp in a normal match.

Oh, and check this - buddy who got banned the other day cant't chat online for a week because his Kinect picked up everything he said. He didn't know it was recording.

Whaaaa?! They record everything said on Kinect? Or is it evident that a moderator was listening to the conversation via the kinect, and not inside the party you guys were in?

No, it sounds to me like the guy was playing, screaming at the TV, not knowing that when you don't have a mic plugged in, Kinect quietly thinks to itself "Oh, he's not using a mic. He must want my help! Have no fear, Master, I shall serve as your microphone!" and began broadcasting his tirade to everyone in the match, who then reported him.

That, or the guy was talking to Microsoft about his ban, and the same thing happened, only because it was directed at the Microsoft employee, it got recorded.

Your friend's fault for not knowing how his hardware works. Only two of my friend have Kinect, and it's annoying as hell, because we'll be sitting there, taking a short break, and they'll set down their controllers and go do something. Their controller detects that they're AFK, turns off, and the Kinect starts picking up the sound from their TVs and broadcasting it to the rest of us in an endless feedback loop that makes me want to kidnap their girlfriends and hurl barrels at them.

Wasn't really never really necessary. We live in the same house. My room overlooks the cathedral living room - someone cant scratch their nuts without me hearing it.

I didn't know the Kinect was acting as a microphone - I muted his GT awhile back. Hearing him talking to our friends with the echo got annoying.

Yeah it's been pretty lagtastic today. One moment I'd be chasing and shooting someone down, the next I'd be 50 ft ahead by a hill and shields down followed by death. Pretty annoying.

Just finished Tracker a little while ago. Requisition + Ordnance Priority = hnnnnnggggh!! Going Wetworks for the DMR skin now and thinking about following it up with either Pathfinder, Operator, or Rogue.
