was you ment to do something to get the email for the LE Halo game? kinda want my customs![]()
wut
Yeah I was depressed when I saw that. Thankfully we get more huge maps today though! ~_~
Map pack is live to buy now, should be updating for LE peeps in the next few hours.
Has anyone got the new maps? Any good?
Checking them out now. Harvest looks awesome so far. It's a medium-sized, circular map. Shatter's probably going to be my favorite of the bunch. Jetpacks and Mobility are going to be really useful in Shatter and Wreckage.
Halo Map Pack is free at the moment through a glitch:
Start Halo 4
Go to XBL Marketplace through main menu.
Download
Works only for those that applied the specialization armor code that they gave out via emails (apparently when you applied this code the servers made your account LE status, giving you free download of the map pack)
Microsoft has stated this error was on their end and if you get it before they patch it you wont be banned
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...says-343-exec/343 Industries is gradually reallocating its teams to work on the next major Halo project, an executive at the studio has told CVG.
Frank O'Connor, the franchise development director for Halo, said that "a lot of people at 343 are already prototyping ideas and software and art for future Halo products".
He added: "I can't say more than that, but work on the game started actually before we launched Halo 4 and continues apace as we cycle staff through the team's vacation breaks. We're excited about the next game."
O'Connor didn't explicitly state that the next game is specifically Halo 5, though Microsoft has already confirmed that it is building a second trilogy of Halo titles.
Many within the 343 Industries studio are still working on post launch content for Halo 4, the latest being the curation of a major international Halo 4 tournament.
It has also developed a plot-led series of co-op games called Spartan Ops, which has been widely praised by critics. A second season of the co-op mode, however, remains up in the air.
"Spartan Ops season 2 is yet to be decided, we're looking at how the first season does," said O'Connor.
"We got such great responses from [live-action web series] Forward Unto Dawn and Spartan Ops that we're pretty happy with it and we're learning a lot of really interesting stuff for the future," he added. "You are going to see a spectrum of Halo support though the next year and beyond."
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...th-big-prizes/Microsoft has announced plans to open a major international Halo 4 multiplayer tournament, with prizes including an appearance in the next Halo game.
Players from around the world can enter the official free-to-play tournament, called Halo Infinity Challenge, with the chance to win one of 2,800 prizes on offer.
The competition is split into two tournaments that will run simultaneously. The deathmatch based War Games is a straightforward contest of accumulating points from kills, while the co-op based Spartan Ops gives players points for each challenge they complete.
Both contests run from Monday December 17 to January 10, with a global leaderboard displaying players with the highest scores in both challenges.
On January 12, players will then split into three tiers of skill and moved into separate finalist tournaments.
- Tier one accommodates the highest-scoring 10 per cent of players
- Tier two accommodates the next best 30 per cent of players
- Tier three accommodates remaining 60 per cent of players
Scores will be reset and gameplay resumes until end of play on January 19. Players will fight again for prizes such as wireless headsets, Halo apparel and various figurines, though the higher tiers tend to play for the better prizes.
On War Games, the grand prize for tier one players will be a UNSC-themed, V8-powered 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck designed by 343 Industries.
On Spartan Ops, the grand prize is a two minute appearance in the next Halo game produced by 343 Industries.
Some 2,800 prizes will be available in total, with weekly sub-challenges open to all. Those interested should visit halo4infinitychallenge.com.
The international contest is open to all Halo 4 owners except for those who live in the US states of Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, Tennessee and Vermont, or those who live in Quebec in Canada.
War Games modes and arenas will be arranged by the Halo team.
Meanwhile, Spartan Ops will go on a mid-season break starting December 10, with the Infinity Challenge tournament filling the gap.

the guys from 6souls post actually made a warthog >_>
Pretty nice looking Chupathingey.
Just read that because of the glitch, 343 has decided to make the map pack free (until the 18th) for everyone who played before November 20th. Can't confirm atm.
MS basically bullshitted and said it wasn't a glitch it was a "present" that they totally meant to give to anyone who played in the first two weeks.
you have to access it from the in game menu not the marketplace
I accessed from in-game and its still 800 points for me. Looks like you have to redeem the Specialization code to see it for free. extreme bullshit because I pre-ordered months before release, played the shit outta it on launch week, and still have no code in my LIVE messages or email![]()
There's a thread on 343 forums you can post on to get help at I believe.
