Looks amazing, can not wait.
The dungeon looks like pretty much what everyone should have expected for a temporary cave raid. At least it will be a new place to try out Lv.50 jobs.
I'm assuming the "Darklight Raiders" were thrown into the lore so they could just name all the equipment found in the raid after them.
Also, I hope they replaced Monk's Sap with that teleport/dash move. Sap sounds fucking boring in practice.
The dungeons aren't actually new (not bitching, just mentioning it). I just remembered this person who recorded unused caves/dungeons early on (including Darkhold before it was released), and it seems he got these two too:
Cutter's cry:
(Assuming the in-game Aurum vale is still the announced Aurum vale):
I don't think anyone mentioned it yet, but it looks like they put tiny indicators on every directional weaponskill to remind you from which angle to use it on your target to initiate a combo. It's on Howling Fist at 1:16 with a "left or right" indicator, along with a few others visible at 1:38. I'm not sure what Haymaker's indicator is... perhaps an evade-requirement icon?
according to that video, ballad refreshes 34 mp per tic
That looks like Cutter's Cry to me, even as the blue runes. Is it possible they can move the location of dungeons?
You could very well walk through Cutter's Pass, talk to the entrance NPC, and upon entering Cutter's Cry, you are actually teleported into a cave located somewhere else in the region... but you would never know because you're stuck inside during the raid.
Also, that better be Tuchulcha and his fellow hunters!
Well, the finished dungeons are instanced. Even if there's a "real" place for the dungeon (like those videos show) that can be accessed without leaving Thanalan, that's not where your character is going to end up when you enter the dungeon in 1.21, because it'll be instanced in a different area (in theory, god knows what Square-Enix actually does).
So it should be possible for them to use the cave they built below Halatali to create the Cutter's Cry instances.
That said, if Darkhold and co. are any indication, it's still likely there's a duplicate cave by Mor Dhona.
It is possible to know where it is. Have you ever wiped in a Darkhold run and exited and looked at the map? You still see the markers of party members and where they are in Coerthas. That works for any dungeon though.
But yeah Solracht is on the right track. There's about 4 dungeons in each region (minus Mor Dhona) that all look similar. There's a cave down in Sandgate in Thanalan too, and one south of Broken Water. I bet every camp has at least one attached to it.
I didn't say it was impossible to know where you really were, I meant that the average person would have no idea they were teleported inside of a cave on the other side of the map because it doesn't matter.
