    Recycled or otherwise, I'm looking forward to having something to do. Heck, two raids even. Sounds like good times coming. Interestingly, someone pointed out that there are materia in the dats without stats that we have not seen yet. Wondering now if we might see some unique materia drops in these raids. Whatever the rewards, anything new is nice. How anything will compete with the new AF gear, I'm not sure, but it'll be nice to get something new to stare at for a few months.

    These patch notes are probably gonna take an hour to read with all the information they've dangled in front of us up to this point. I think all this is going in the right direction, but perhaps that's just my optimism seeping through after all these weeks. Still enjoying the game either way.

    I feel incredibly wrong about this, but I honestly think that the quests will unlock job skills and the two new raids will drop Job AF. Otherwise what would be the point of these raids if its rare/ex equipment that can't be melded or converted?

    As much as I know people would hate that, I can see that being a decent time sink for the next 2 months. If i'm right I hope the new raids are setup like Totorak where you have different paths for each run, that shit was fun and I was disappointed that Darkhold didn't follow the same scheme.

    Edit: I'd also like to see some HNMs, or some type of hard boss monster we can hone our skills on. Moogle and Ifrit are incredibly boring once you have the timing and positioning down. The only hardcore content we really have to look forward to is the Crystal Tower, and possibly the Wandering Odin primal, depending on how hard he actually becomes after a couple of deaths.

    We'll know tomorrow if you're right or wrong and there's no harm in making reasonable guesses. At this point it's just speculation anyway.

    The raids could very well give us nice accessories. It doesn't always have to be visible-slot gear and that's something that people often neglect when they talk about "gear". I would welcome some kickass rings and neck pieces. Everything we've got now is locked into scaled bonuses like all gear was on launch. Necks with attack, wristlets with hp, and rings with stats are all nice, but there's hardly any crossover that makes those slots worthwhile.

    All that other stuff sounds cool too. Just gonna have to wait and see.

    I think all we know is AF will be gained from job quests. But those quests could well be repeatable "Go into this dungeon, investigate this" etc. That makes the most sense to me anyway. No one will want to do dungeons after the first week if the reward is inferior to AF gear.

    And no one will want to do dungeons after they get all their AFs too Stuff like that gets outdated fast no matter what.

    Personally, I'd like AF to be obtainable w/o having to try to find a group for dungeons D;

    Yeah but if the AF is in the dungeons they'll last months. I know people still trying to get Ifrit weapons.

    They already confirmed AF will come from the job quests.

    That's not really saying much. The quest might order you to kill the X boss or do w/e in a dungeon to get the piece

    Actually it is:
    The system starts at level 30 and features a sequence of special quests available at certain levels that unlock systems, abilities, and job-specific equipment. The series of job quests do not involve extremely difficult tasks such as fighting primals. Rather, they are new game elements intended to boost character growth and motivate players.
    And since they made not of how EXTREMELY DIFFICULT Cutter's whatchacave is, I seriously doubt we're going to be required to step foot in there.

    Ahh, I remember reading that and then forgot about it Well, that hopefully means no dungeon runs needed.
