I really wish I remembered my Seizures. The only thing I remembered from back then was lying down cause I felt dizzy then waking up 36 hours later in ICU.
All of those symptoms are normal and not of a seizure. Especially if it only lasted a few seconds. I get all of those (sometimes at once) all the time. I have generally poor circulation and don't exercise enough, but even if I was more active I doubt it would stop.
Let me tell you, the other day some muscles or organs near my stomach were twitching nonstop for most of the day. It was one of the more annoying things I've dealt with, like internal hiccups or something. Sometimes random muscles just like to twitch.
I was curious from the description in that every once in awhile I'll have a bout of what feels a lot like vertigo. My first experience, which was about 2 years ago, was a lot like what the OP described only it was triggered by bending over, not at the knees, and when my head went down and forward to look at something, I was overcome with dizziness and would've fallen had I not just sat down. Immediately after I was really nauseous, but don't recall actually throwing up. I went to a family member's GP to be checked out and was tested for having a stroke, had my blood tested and came back with nothing, but the symptoms ended after a few days.
Since then I've had a really mild form where I just get a feeling of vertigo and euphoria when lying down, usually felt the most during the transition from standing to lying down. It's only occurred 2 other times, once last year and once pretty recently, but it has lingered for a longer period, roughly 2-3 weeks. After the occurrence last year I saw an ENT who said it was a common symptom following getting over a virus, even if you don't physically notice the virus from any kind of sickness and that it should pass after 2 weeks. I was given a vial and dropper to use mineral oil in my ears to keep them clean, though, and use that when I feel it come on. This most recent time, though, it lasted for at least 3 weeks and was getting me concerned until it finally passed.
Does the sound familiar to anyone or that the ENT was accurate?
Serious question, are you on any medications currently? I've never had seizures before and my family doesn't have a history. But I was on a medication last year in June and it almost killed me, muscle soreness (every part of the body including the tongue before the real incident) to the point of a seizure, then shock, then followed by heart failure.
Nope, on absolutely nothing right now. Excedrin for migraines as needed.
It could be anything really, like 90% "made up % though I wouldn’t doubt it" of meds can cause a side effect of death, even when exhibiting the signs of the symptom the medicine is susupposedly to alleviate.
Take this medicine to help with depression, warning may cause suicidal thoughts and/or death!
or
Take this medicine to stop a runny nose, warning may cause your eyes to bleed and or poop blood.
I was kind of waiting for you to post your diagnosis Tonko. Now I can tell my wife to piss off lol.
I don't think it was a seizure like many have posted, my brother had one and woke up with his tongue black and blue. Seizures are fucked up. There was no pink left on his tongue.
When I was younger I had something similar happen to me quite often, any time i would stand up or stretch my eyes would blur over, if it was really bad my eyes would roll back in my head and my entire body would go numb and i would have muscle spasms, often ending up on the floor and not knowing how I got there. I scared my second grade teacher really badly one time because of it, lol. It happens extremely rarely now and its never severe.
It happens to me all the time in the shower. I lay in the shower and when I stand quickly, my BP tanks. BTW, also an RN, I wasn't pulling out some google diagnosis from my ass.
Son you're doing it wrong.I lay in the shower and when I stand quickly
He can turn sideways and stand inbetween the streams?
Sounds like a concussion to me. I should know, I am a Pittsburgh area physician and definitely did not misdiagnose Sidney Crosby.
So you should be fine to play hockey again in no time!
