There's a chest in the room with the Bard AF pants crate (which is just before Princess), but I have only seen Dark Matter come out of it...

I don't know what is going on but I can't get the FFXIV updater to work to download the patch. It turns on and attempts to "check version" and then says it can't contact the server and stops. I have a fully functioning internet connection. I tried disabling my firewall and internet protections. I tried running as admin. I don't see anyone else complaining about this on the support forum on the lodestone. Anyone able to help me figure this out?

Ok, apparently it was my ESET Smart Security, even though I had disabled the firewall and internet protections. Problem solved.

DRG is such a strong job... One whiffed attack when I have 250TP = 2 WS (+Paralysis proc). Thats insane lol. Not to mention all the Stun procs on my other WS.

I've been soloing leves 3 levels higher than me with little to no problems.

Gotta admit the patch is nice. AF is somewhat fun to get (Minus bleeding anima left and right). Just sucks it died down. 3/5 on PLD/MNK and nobody shouting anymore ><

Full PLD/BRD and 4/5 on DRG. Need 5 more levels on LNC.

I've done all the final AF fights but BLM now and it's all been a very fun journey. Great music and great times with the LS. Even managed 6/7 sets now.

We haven't given the new instances any solid attempts since we've been questing so much. Took coincounter down easily but ant boss is tricky thus far. Seems like boss mechanics are improving and that's a good sign imo. Really looking forward to grinding vale and cry out this week and experiencing the rest of this patch fully.

Wondering though if anyone's figured out how to macro wrists/rings yet. The slot renaming in the patch notes doesn't seem to be it

Hmm, leve exp was supposed to be bumped up to resemble what you'd get with Guardian Favor, but either I'm remembering values wrong or it doesn't seem it was... Or at least not as much/

I don't notice much of a difference. Still a real chore leveling though... barely any exp parties due to the new stuff.

Xp is definitely bumped up on leves and even mobs below ur lv. Leveling LNC atm thru leves lv 45 doing treespeak leves. 2 stars (R43 mobs) is giving me roughly 300xp per kill with end bonus of 6k in about 5 mins of work. You can do 8-10k per leve with average 5-10 mins per. Not bad for solo.

I find it faster to zerg thru lower stars. Just save at a town, favorite the camp and just burn thru leves. You'll burn 2 anima per port while picking up 4-5 leves at once. Can push 70k/hr+ solo. Ofcourse lower ranks leves will deal with lower xp values but the idea is there.

There's tons of greens available before the final boss, but none of it seems to be very good from what I can tell. Chimera's chests had some OK loot though, got Mage's Ring from it this evening (Mag Pot+15). Dunno how it would compare to the Int+15 ring because I stopped caring long ago, but at least it's not something immediately dismissible as bad.

New accessory macros that worked for me.

/equip neck ""
/equip ears ""
/equip wrists ""
/equip R.finger ""
/equip L.finger ""

Do capitalize R/L for finger, don't capitalize for the other slots, is the issue most people are probably having.

Other than that make sure earrings and wristlets are plural in the item name when appropriate.
