Ever notice how all the voices sort of "changed" around the middle of the Ginyu Force fight? That marks the end of the original 1995 dub. They aired it on Cartoon Network beginning in 1998, and it quickly gained popularity. Soon, demand for the localization of the remaining episodes was high, so FUNimation started over from scratch. They re-dubbed the whole series with a new cast and very few edits/censoring in their Texas studio. Those are the episodes in the links I provided. They added in all of the continuity and flashbacks referecing Dragonball. May be where your confusion lies.
