It's vaguely ominous without really slapping you over the head with the concept of "SHIT AIN'T OKAY BRO BROHEME." I feel like the more rhythmic parts could also be used in some kind of seductive stripper dance sequence in a movie too, so take that how you will.

Thanks guys, this is stuff I'm looking for. It's the opener for an industrial/techno label and the EP is focused as such so this is great feedback.

Track 3 is my shit! Kinda gave me that feeling from the beginning of a movie where there's no dialogue and you see the villain doing some dirty shit.

Track 4 sounds like another club tune you jump to with a bitch backin dat ass on your junk. Picturing strobe lights and my hands full of titties.

I'm giving a couple listens to each track. Only other thing I have to add to meltdown is that it does seem to be three distinct parts to me. I almost wish there was a little more variation on the end (everything after 4:21ish), but that's just my perception of the track and not necessarily your intention. I still really enjoy the beat and the atmosphere it creates.

    Listening to jettison right now.

I'll try to throw out the themes I'm taking away from each song with an opinion

Meltdown: a slow building anxiety that's being stomached by urgency, with a period of relief interrupted by a reminder not to stop. Right around 3:50 you can pretty clearly envision a figurative or literal ray of hope, like finding another person, with the worry beginning to yield but still a constant in the back of their mind.

The song didn't really hook me until I started to look for this and then it seemed to jump into focus really easily.

Jettison isn't really my favorite track. It's well done, just not my cup of tea. I like the way you mixed it, so that some sounds become more audible/noticeable and then revert to a background element. I don't really get a very strong message from it, but that may be bias based on not liking it as much as the other track. You can hear some time was put into it, though.

Track 1: Felt weird and kind of made me angry, there was an emotional undertone of anxiety and worry when I listened. Why I became angry? I have no idea.
Track 2: It was a tad repetitive until it became white noise and I forgot I was even listening to it.

Hatch makes me feel like a character in a modern day Poseidon Adventure. It's hard to dissociate the title from the perception of the track, so that kind of put me in mind of vessels that have hatches. For me it's either boats or the shitty hatchback my best friend drove in high school. Something about the sounds you played with here gives me a feel of like, the manner in which noise is distorted when you're underwater and sound reaches you. I'm specifically talking about the sound you introduce around 1:40, it's kinda just nautical to me. You also have this kind of pulsing electric sound that's really familiar to me. Cool effect; I like this one more than Jettison.

I really liked Evacuation Route. Definitely does have that backdrop of sirens going off. The second beat you bring in around 2 minutes does give me the impression that something just went wrong, but at the same time I'm not sure how easy it is on the ears. It does eventually get incorporated into the song when you bring in the next layer at like 3:20, and then I'm really fucking sold on the sound. The story I get is that sirens go off in some enclosed place, people start to evacuate, and shit doesn't go smoothly. People are trampling each other to get out, throwing bows on the stairs, trying to get to the front of the crowd to be the first out of the doors. Later when that beat comes back in around 5:25, it sounds to me like a heartbeat and it meshes into the song a lot better. The way it cuts off, it just makes me feel like the ceiling caved in and crushed everyone. Fuck your evacuation route, nothing saved you in the end.

Jettison: So jettison was pretty fucking crazy. Another one that started to come into focus much more towards the middle of the first listen and then again on the second. I don't know if it's necessarily a bad thing that I'm not seeing something right away as the concept of a reveal is neat here. It was actually pretty awesome but I was also mentally hopping between scenarios initially.

I had more written here, but the song really jumped out suddenly on like the 3rd or 4th listen. A picture was developing early on but the whole thing came clear pretty suddenly. For this I began thinking like an escape pod traveling through a tunnel, but a railway train seemed to fit way more.

The beginning felt like an understood, maybe relieved patience as a process is beginning. Then that process slowly and steadily begins and you can feel this forward movement where the claps suddenly got fucking awesome because they resembled steady bumps on a train-track.

For almost the first 3 minutes it felt like a long tunnel, and just prior to 2:40 it's like an warning signal has gone off and then the whistle that follows pretty seamlessly illustrates the tunnel having ended where the wind is blasting pass this train that trails off as the length of it exits. There's a sense of safety here and then the beat starts to get erratic and panicky signifying a return of danger; like at this point I'm seeing shit fucking collapsing behind them in the distance and the train is fucking charging through causing the tempo to jump. The calm and safety returns again but the tempo stays high and it's like the people controlling the train are relieved but not willing to slow down at this point. Beyond the 7-minute mark it's a pretty awesome cut-away to seeing this train escape.

I'm not trying to speak as if I'm saying "oh this is what you did, yeah I totally see, let me define it", just that this is what I saw. This took a lot more time and thought to put into words, which can be seen as good or bad.

At this point based on the names and themes I'm getting an inclination that these are separate experiences from more than one entity. That or I'm like really goddamn deep into fuckville with this and jumped the shark.

Dude you are fucking awesome lol. I love how you interpret it this is all great, especially that fact that you devote extra listens to dig deeper into how you are and want to perceive the experience. Thanks so much.
