    Printer issue

Running into a weird problem and google is failing me. At work, 99.9% of our printers are network printers. I have one person having an issue with one printer that no one else has. If he prints a document that is 1 page, it prints fine. If it's multiple pages, it prints all the pages on one side of one sheet. If he prints to another printer, it works fine. All his settings appear to be correct, so i'm at a loss. The printer in question is a HP Color Laserjet 4000 series.

    -Delete and reinstall the printer
-Make sure he is connected to the printer and not to the shared version of it on someone else's workstation
    -Update drivers

Are you using a generic HP driver?

Ehh forgot to check on this. I wound up resolving it by switching it to the HP Universal driver they released in December.

I did all the standard stuff like deleting and reconnecting, reset to defaults, etc. We keep settings locked down admin side. Was just weird that it was only him having the issue. He was always connected through the print server (not shared off of someone else), even tried connecting locally through ip address. Just shocked the universal driver resolved it. Now to fix his other printer that when you send a job to it, you have to open the front carriage and then close it so it will print. Thankfully the fix for that is to replace it, it's been doing it since the previous lieutenant had that printer.

Yeah this is an occasional hassle we have due to the HP generic drivers. We have to use them because of some software that connects to the printers, the issue can usually be fixed by siwtching to a different driver then reinstalling the original one.
