It is pretty fucking shady. I assume it'll be a purchasable unlock or something.
inb4 they also have in-game marriage, and the only way to do it is with the Rings of Mara.

Everything I've read so far on the matter just has people screaming "FAKE!" about it. If it is, holy crap at the effort and detail they put into it, and the fact they got it to show up on Amazon of all places.
If it is real, I can't "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!" hard enough.
Pre order bonuses have been officially announced: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/new...-order-eso-now
So i'm going to guess the Imperial Edition will obviously cost more then standard....but really? Making a sub MMO and then putting a playable race in a CE?...
"New WoW expansion with pandas!...but you need to buy the deluxe 89.99 edition to actually play as a panda!"
It's not even just the fact that imperial edition gets a special race that others can't have, but also the fact that pre-orders get to play any race as any alliance. I can see that pissing people off more than anything, as you can actually miss it entirely and never have access to that feature, where as you can likely always update to the imperial edition later.
Granted my wife and I already plan on pre-ordering the imperial edition so we're safe, but it sucks for everyone else who doesn't want to throw money at a game that may fail hard and fall on its face. Oh well, I'll just look at is the same as legacy status. If you get it? Great. If not? Fuck you.
Oh god I'm laughing so hard at this CE/Preorder stuff. First you try to tell me that CE owners get their own race that isn't faction-locked, which means they'll get their own style armor, abilities and actual content-related goodies. Now you're telling me that if someone preorders they can just ignore the hard factioning? Jesus fuck, grab at that money more.
why are people rushing into MMOs anymore? its allways the same mess the first 1-2 months after release, I would rather wait 2 months and try it out then when the initial server/crash/hype etc passed a bit away and you get an Idea on what direction the game is heading and how it is gameplay wise
Wife wants the Imperial edition. I don't think I am getting out of getting it for her.
Considering the contents of the Imperial edition, I expect it's going to cost somewhere around $150~$180. They shoulda left the statue out D:<
Are they offering life time subscriptions too yet?
I'm moderately interested in the map if its of good quality. The Skyrim "parchment" map still felt a little cheap but miles ahead of normal poster print.
It's $120 for the physical here in Canada. Which isn't too bad really, unless the bonus items are shit quality. Looking at you there, hollow plastic Skyrim dragon.
At that price I wouldn't expect incredible build quality, but at least it should look cool from a distance
I'm tempted to get the Imperial Edition just for the book/map/statue. The trailers for the game look amazing, but I was in on a beta stress-test, and was less than impressed. This was months ago, though, so I'm sure there have been improvements... I just don't know if I want to deal with other people in a TES game. =/
There have not been improvements. The game is literally unchanged from what you played in the stress test. From one tester to another, don't get SWTOR'd. Also, note that all of the trailers have been CGI and not gameplay for the most part.
