Not to derail the thread, but NA Aion servers had lower EXP between levels and quests gave EXP whereas the non-NA servers had more EXP between levels and quests gave only items. Part was NCSoft's knowing their demographic and part was GameForge trying to make more money.

As far as ESO, is it seeming like FFXIV where you can make a relic and do most of what you want in 30 days and cancel before sub fee?

Friends who were fresh to it tried it this weekend. They're not willing to pay for it. Say it's like Skyrim with more arseholes. My personal impression is that it feels dated and not ready for release

What does “Pre-order” mean?

Sent another email for a phone call back from support about canceling my pre-order. Got a phone call back within 20 mins, asking why I wanted to cancel multiple times.

Then was told I would get a call back "within 24-48 hours" from someone in finance that will then cancel my pre-order.

At this point, even it it goes f2p i'll probably never touch it.

Games going to blow, looks like the same boring, bland, tripe, you've all seen and played over and over again since 2004.

MMO genre is just stagnant and pathetic these days. Most of these games cannot experiment because of the exorbitant costs to produce them.

Agree. I'll take an epic offline RPG any day over MMO.

Honestly you don't need to play it to know what it's not worth a sub fee and will be just like SWTOR or any other "OMG WILL BE BEST MMO EVER" that has come out in the past 5 yrs or so. He's right, the MMO genre has become pretty shitty. It was looking up for a bit coming from the EQ/UO days of devoting your every waking second to playing the game, but now it's just recycled garbage where every dev team is trying to make the next WoW instead of just targeting a small market.

Hypocritical of me to say that in a sense, as I feel like only a small market will focus on ESO. But I consider myself a huge fan of the TES series and have no desire to play it, especially with lack of community mods.
