SYG/Castle laws are meant to protect you from intruders in your house and people who seek YOU out to threaten you, not protect you from the culmination of a confrontation that you sought out after being specifically instructed not to

OMG GET HIM!
Most departments tend to have a bro code over stupid shit like this. Guarantee you like 90% of the office hates the beat cops and the lead detective who were in charge of this mess and letting this asshole walk around free but have to save face.
Many of my attempts to bag a fine wench have been foiled by the accursed moats.Based on information I've come across in another thread, a modestly sized moat should do the trick.
Some people I know will disagree with me but in the case of using deadly force specifically I feel like it doesn't matter if your intentions are good if you make the mistake to use deadly force when it isn't necessary you should go to jail. You fucked up and that is the end of the story. If you want the right to use deadly force then you better take responsibility for it when you fuck up. Part of being a responsible gun owner is not using it until it is absolutely necessary.
Good intentions my ass. From what I've read, evidence dictates it was in cold blood. I would subpoena the guy's medical history to see if he's hopped on any drugs or has been relatively recently.
EDIT: I haven't looked too much into the case either but is the dude single? Who's his NOK? Does he have a violent past? Has he ever approached anyone before in the neighborhood in a similar fashion? How far along is he in his cute little community college degree? These are pretty basic freaking questions that seems like weren't asked.

I'm not sure if it has been brought up in this thread yet, but there's almost no chance the kid would have died if murder was illegal.
I heard some mentions of him slurring his words and sounding drunk on the phone call to 911 (or the police, whichever). No evidence of it other than that though, and the police didn't test for drugs or anything like that (since they found him innocent).
You'd think that the first thing they'd do is at least bring him in and make him pee in a cup.
Can't believe how many people think Zimmerman is going to go down for this. Did they all forget Casey Anthony already?
/Can we just cut off Florida already?
Yes because Casey Anthony sets the precedent of stupid shit on how to kill random niggers in Florida.
LE Experts can offer testimony that they believe it SOUNDS like he is drunk... in a case like this where an unarmed kid is dead and the accused was left suspiciously untested, I'd be willing to bet the jury would take that expert testimony into account even IF there was no testing or lab proof of his intoxication. They also might ask witnesses who were around him post-shooting if he smelled like alcohol or was acting bizarre "like he was on drugs or drunk."
PS: That was actually a fuck up on their part -- he should have been tested regardless, that's standard procedure. They didn't test him because they fucked up, not because they thought he was innocent. Even if they did, tests should have been run.
