    You can't punch people.

    LET US PRETEND THE FOLLOWING:

    1) Zimmerman catches up to Martin, gun drawn. What would a normal person do? A) Fight? B) Be submissive, C) Flee. B and C seem likely. But if C, then Martin would have got away. If B, then there wouldn't be a fight. If B, then Zimmerman wouldn't have his injuries and/or the shot wouldn't be in close corners. If Martin attempted to flee but got shot, then it would been his back or the evidence of a close shot burn mark on Martin's clothes wouldn't be there

    2) Zimmerman attacks Martin with gun hidden then shoots him in close corners. Zimmerman would have injuries to his fists in some ways. He isn't physically capable of beating Martin with his size and abilities.

    3) Zimmerman used his vehicle to maim Martin so that he could attack Martin and then shoot. This doesn't seem likely.

    4) Zimmerman was confronted head on and wasn't jumped from behind. Zimmerman lost the upper hand and shot Martin up close. Once again no injuries other than the shot. Zimmerman was away from his vehicle and the shot was up close. There was an obvious fight and due to the clothing and Zimmerman's injuries.

The only likely scenario is 5) Zimmerman was confronted quickly. He couldn't escape nor draw his weapon to prevent Martin from approaching (or considered to use it first). There was an obvious fight that Zimmerman was badly losing. Zimmerman shot Martin in very close range and then got on top of Martin to subdue. All evidence points to this. Prosecution in criminal court could not find any evidence to counter this. None of the actions that Zimmerman were illegal. The only thing he did that can be seen as imprudent was exit his vehicle.

nah i'm not taking his word as gospel. but in the eyes of the court if you believe what a witness is saying on the stand you are to treat it as evidence and as fact. they tell you this as a juror.

The fact that the police said all the evidence they did find corroborated his story why would I believe he was lying? on top of that the neighbor witness coincided with Zimmerman's story

How responsible do you think Zimmerman is in Trayvon's death? Looking for a percentage here, and remember you get to consider the entire situation - that Zimmy started all this by following and spooking an unarmed kid who was doing nothing wrong, putting him in that "fight or flight" mindset.

Like, for example, if I'm at a bar and out of the blue I walk up to a black guy and call him a nigger and his wife a cunt, and he swings at me - I'd sure as hell say I was more responsible for any damage done by that punch than he is - it's not just about who begins the violence.

All I'm saying is this - there was reasonable doubt, and therefore Zimmy shouldn't have been convicted.

However, he's partially responsible for Trayvon's death. How partially is what a civil suit will hinge upon.

You will go to jail if you start every confrontation by shooting.

Everyone needs to stop what they are doing who are commenting and just watch the video Tweek posted in it's entirety before continuing. Consider the 911 calls that were made and the evidence of clothing, weapon, where Martin was shot, and the injuries of Zimmerman and lack of on Martin other than the fatal shot. If you have not, and based your information on the media, then you are just drawing conclusions. This is why he wasn't arrested initially. His account is very believable and all the evidence points to exactly what he described. If you are just mad because of emotions "OHMYGOD I can't walk around because people are going to shoot me if I wear a hoodie" are not thinking things through and just jumping to conclusions.

Responsible for what? Getting out of his car? I guess Zimmerman was also responsible for getting up that day. Martin is responsible for getting skittles and Arizona Watermelon juice at a 7-11 4 blocks away. Martin's parents are responsible for getting a divorce and Zimmerman is responsible for being born..... where do you draw the line?

Everyone in a normal sense will start drawing responsibility when a person attacks. Once you make things physical, that is where a confrontation becomes a fight.

I don't believe Zimmerman put Trayvon in a fight or flight mindset. I don't feel he was cornered and I don't feel the stand your ground applied to either one of them. The only thing I feel Zimmerman did wrong was get out of his car, you want me to put a % on it when I haven't sat through the entire trial nor do I have all the evidence that will be presented in a civil suit. I can tell you with the information I do have that % is low, real low.

Um, it's not an unreasonable question to wonder how responsible the guy who pulled out his gun and shot someone dead is for the death of the person he shot.

The fact that you're talking about divorces and watermelon juice shows you're really uncomfortable with the question.

Zimmy's defense force acts like he had no other choice, but at the same time doesn't believe that Trayvon was going to murder Zimmy...

    which is it?

Might as well start asking percentages on how slow the police took to respond, the lack of response by the neighbors that were nearby, the percentage of Trayvon Martin for cutting through houses dressed in a hoodie and pants at night, etc.

Considering that you are responding so quickly, I take it you haven't watched the video yet.
