Was surprised by the Zimmerman photos with his head all bloody, didn't see any of that and only saw the semi-bloody nose picture.

I hope people are aware at how much your head bleeds when it even has the most insignificant cut. There's lots of blood vessels up there. Toddlers can have blood gushing down their face and not bat an eye, just sayin it's not an indication of how serious an injury is and likely being used in those pictures to evoke the perception of a serious injury.

Causing lacerations with blunt objects (fists, the sidewalk, etc) takes a great deal of force. The cuts being small doesn't mean the overall damage was small. You can get beaten to death without bleeding externally, too.

You seemed to be implying that we should believe that his injuries were not serious, not that it was ambiguous. My apologies if I misinterpreted that.

I don't believe his injuries were serious because of his medical evaluation post-events. I'm just saying all you see in those pictures is a (relatively) small amount of blood on the back of his head, it doesn't really say anything and is only there to provoke empathy because the general public thinks that blood = very serious always.
