dispatchers are not law enforcement, they are civilian employees of a law enforcement agency (and in some circumstances, not even LEAs), it is not the same as being given an order by an officer. regardless of following someone, if they start bashing your brains in (ESPECIALLY wounds to the back of the head), you can respond with lethal force, and walk away scot free. (except in shitty states like CA, MA, NY, NJ, etc)

The word of the dispacther is still a lawful order, and one designed to try to keep individuals safe. Some dispatchers are civilian personal, but are sworn personal simply for this reason.

Its up to the town laws to really decide if refusing a order from a dispatcher, or call taker is a illegal offense. There are no current federal laws containing any wording into that..... and honestly with this case, and the one in Texas a few years back (guy killed 2 individuals breaking into neighbors home) I could see states starting to pass laws about not accepting orders from a dispatcher.

Or maybe my department is just special when it comes to sworn personal..... I believe the dispatchers here are the only ones in the country that can make huge decisions like calling off chases, or tactical response to active shooter situations.

Why would the rage be pointless. Some vigilante civilian decided to follow around someone guilty of walking while black and approach him despite being told to stand down.

No, it's fucking irrelevant. If he was a construction worker, football player, soccer player, it's irrelevant. There's no reason the physical description (which someone already posted he was 6'1 150 or something) should matter if the guy was instigating an attack. It's not like this is a little kid beating up a 250 lb adult vs a grown man beating up a 250 lb adult for no reason. The adult instigated the attack in the first place and who the victim was or what the victim was capable of should have no effect on the stand your ground law.
