I haven't read the whole thread but apparently his mother is trading marking his likeness and sayings etc. Not really sure how to feel about this one.
Wait so a family trademarks trayvon to prevent people from profiting from his death and you don't know how to feel about it?

Police were dispatched to the scene after a man, identified as Oscar Carillo, called 911 and said he had been robbed by two armed men who stole his laptop and backpack as he was buying tacos.
Was this part made up too?

Trayvon, who had no criminal record, once got suspended from school after being caught with an empty marijuana baggie.
He received another suspension after he was found to be carrying women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that was deemed a possible burglary tool.

tsk tsk tray tray, you're not helping here

Is the story there that the taco-eater was trying to maliciously cook up a fake robbery story to get some black people in trouble, or is it that he got robbed and lied about there being a gun so they police would take him more seriously?

also i like this story because i get to call the hispanic guy a taco-eater without getting in trouble because i mean it says he eats tacos right in the story there

The question is what can be done about it? People have the impression that blacks are all criminals because that's what the media pumps out, rap lauds deviant behavior, role models boil down to performers or sports stars, black on black crime is a reality and there aren't enough community game changers to get people to change their attitudes amidst a sea of poverty, desperation and denied opportunity. It'd take a cultural revolution to reverse the current path of the African-American community as a whole and that isn't possible when the race is so divided.

I'd be stunned if a room of black people could even identify who Neil De'grasse Tyson is but if you put up a picture of Michael Vick? Yeah, therein lay the problem.

Plenty of people are out there trying to break the stereotypes but when the community turns on you for trying to make something of yourself it isn't surprising when successful blacks turn around and loathe the very people they should be trying to lift out of the muck. It's a self-destructive cycle.

The former from the article's information. It's FOX so yeah.

No gun, no laptop found so the question becomes why did he do it at all? Perhaps an altercation that he felt like ramping up by calling the cops? Regardless all he did was turn another black man into swiss cheese over nothing.

That type of shit happened in Baltimore. And people are still calling and say there's guns involved when there is not just to get police there faster.

so zimmerman's dad is a retired judge and speculation is that he's had his son's 3 prior arrests closed in a similar manner by the state AG.

also, Sanford police threaten to arrest reporters

Sanford Police threatened to arrest members of the media who approach or ask questions off the clock.

A press release sent out Wednesday said police would arrest journalists who attempt to make contact with city employees during non-working hours. They asked to not approach, call or email the city employees at home.

Some city staffers have been "followed or approached at their home or in settings outside of working hours," the release said.

"Law enforcement officials will not hesitate to make an arrest for stalking."

It should be noted that George Zimmerman may have received favorable treatment from the police because of his family. ‎”According to court records, his father is retired Supreme Court Magistrate Judge Robert Zimmerman and his mother Gladys Zimmerman was a court clerk. Connections in the legal community run deep and go far.

I personally don't see anything wrong with this. If they're off-duty, they're not responsible for answering questions if they don't want to. They need an opportunity to wash their hands and go home, just like the rest of us do in relation to our own jobs. Additionally, they're entitled to the protections that being in their workplace gives.

Any journalist acting like the paparazzi in hopes of securing a candid interview with an unwilling candidate isn't exempt from respect, nor the law. That's why the paparazzi can get arrested, after all. This is also how bullshit stories based on a cobbled-together list of rumors, half-truths, etc., start, and in an important case like this, the last thing we need are more rumors.

This has nothing to do with individual opinions about the people involved, and everything to do with not being an insufferable douchebag that just makes things worse.

it's selective law enforcement, they will literally arrest reporters for following someone they shouldn't be ... does that sound familiar to you?

And with this declaration, the Paparazzi still continue to follow celebrities to their houses.
