But he wasn't being annoying by asking you a question. You could have just answered it. You ended up doing so anyway. Why be a fucking dick about it?

Also still looking for the article -- it was one that talked about how Trayvon was found (face down, hands underneath him) and briefly mentions that his only injury was the gunshot wound. Obviously that's just my words til I find it -- but that was my basis for saying that the funeral director wasn't giving info I hadn't already read.

While looking back through my history I did find the one about his family talking -- specifically his father denying that George was following Trayvon at all, even though George admits to that on the recordings. So I guess that's ONE lie we can count him on.

The father of 28-year-old George Zimmerman is speaking out in his son’s defense. Robert Zimmerman of Lake Mary, Fla., wrote a letter last week to The Orlando Sentinel calling the depiction of his son in the media “cruel and misleading.” He also added that his son who is Hispanic, grew up in a multicultural home and is in no way a racist.
“He would be the last to discriminate for any reason whatsoever. The media portrayal of George as a racist could not be further from the truth.”
Robert Zimmerman also challenged reports that his son followed Trayvon and adds that when the truth comes to light everyone should be “outraged” by his treatment. “At no time did George follow or confront Mr. Martin.

In the meantime I'll keep looking for the other one.

Really? Because honestly, even if I can't find it and the funeral director is a big deal, that didn't change my complaint in the slightest. You were an asshole for literally no reason. Why not just explain something instead of feigning some sort of superior intelligence proven by your greater understanding of something SO OBVIOUS. Someone else simply asked for you to explain, how is that a problem? Leroy or not, you were needlessly uppity and shitty about something very minor and you had zero call to be so. I could sit here and say that you are 100% right and that the funeral director was the first to make a comment, but how would that change the fact that you decided to act like a dick for no reason? It wouldn't. At all.

What I'm saying is, right or wrong regarding the article here, you had exactly zero call to be a douchebag.

Stop being one. It doesn't foster discussion and we're here to discuss, not to witness you waving your dick around.

From today, new shit about the audio, kind of:

    http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/...ific-certainty

I don't know anything about audio and how they test this stuff. This guy seems fairly confident that 48% match is good enough to assure that Zimmerman was not the one calling for help...
Tom Owen, forensic consultant for Owen Forensic Services LLC and chair emeritus for the American Board of Recorded Evidence, used voice identification software to rule out Zimmerman. Another expert contacted by the Sentinel, utilizing different techniques, came to the same conclusion.
But this guy isn't a fed and they won't even name the other guy they consulted, so I'd be more interested in what the FBI has to say.

In conclusion the fact that you didn't mention anything about the Funeral Director who is yet another person that has casted doubt on zimmermans story just shows you probably just skimmed the article instead of actually reading it.
Ftr, funeral director was brought into the equation a while ago, some/one mentioned that they could be biased because the family chooses the funeral director.

I'm just a bit sceptical about the Jeb Bush thing. I get the feeling that the real reason he said what he did was because public opinion on the matter is swinging in Trayvon's favor and it would be political suicide to rally to Zimmerman.

Overall I agree that, if this guy doesn't end up arrested soon, this whole situation is going to hit a boiling point.

Spending two pages bitching about one post doesn't foster discussion either. All of you can cut this shit out or find yourself with infractions.

Just noticed this thread and well the fact that it's gone on so long without even attempting to do the right thing is terrifying.

This also mades me rage more once again at all the people that kept on trying to tell me that I was ridiculous for thinking racism still exists in the united states because we are under the rule of princess Obamia a few years ago.

Gonna be 100% with you guys. I'm not convinced this crime was racially motivated, based on what was presented. It looks like Zimmerman is a disturbed individual who becomes enraged and escalates things far beyond any reasonable point, and that just gets directed at whoever he happens to be facing at the time. This time, it happened to be a black kid walking around in his neighborhood. I was reported that he bodily threw a woman during one of his security gigs in the past. (Source: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nati...icle-1.1053223) That doesn't necessarily make him a misogynist. It just makes him an asshole with rage problems.

Not entirely sure there's anything to suggest that the police handled this like they did because of racism. I don't know about you all, but I don't know anything about the cops who were on the scene. I don't know if they themselves were black, white, hispanic, asian, whatever. I don't know if those officers personally have a history of making racist judgment calls. There are a whole plethora of reasons they could have fucked this up, not least of which is that they could simply just be fucking bad at their jobs. I'm not saying it wasn't racism. It very well could have been racist cops saying, "oh another dead nigger, you go on home now." In order to draw that conclusion, I'd want more evidence.

I see what you're saying, but do you think he would have acted the same way ( tailed the kid and drew his gun ) if the kid was white? Even with a hoodie on? I'm pretty sure that even if he wasn't being racist, he was still stereotyping a black kid in his neighborhood that he didn't recognize following a 'string of break-ins'. Where the line crossed from a stereotype sent towards a black kid in a hoodie at 7PM to a racially motivated crime lies in the details of how this kid ended up dead.

Zimmerman's father admits to "confusion" regarding his son's version of the events. Says it's "a little bit cloudy."

Agree. It might not have been the police's motivation for their inattention to detail and procedure with regard to this case (I'm pretty sure that has to do with the father's status as a retired judge, personally) but Zimmerman definitely picked the kid out for that reason. The situation itself probably escalated beyond that because Zimmerman has rage problems, but Trayvon was picked out for what he looked like and the judgments ("he looks like he's up to something" "he's probably on drugs") Zimmerman made based on his appearance.

Tbh Zimmerman's background leads me to believe he's just some spoiled fuck-up who is used to the privilege of being a judge's child. My guess is, based on his history (the charges he's had dropped in the past, etc) that he's just used to being able to do whatever he wants and get off without being punished too much. I know a guy very similar. Rich family, very entitled, bailed out of trouble constantly, does whatever he wants with no regard to anyone. On his 3rd DUI now with a car he has to blow into a straw to start, and he still drinks and drives by just asking someone else to blow into it for him. Derp. People like that never learn because they are always enabled. I bet this Zimmerman guy is no different. He's used to the privilege that being a judge's son affords him, and as such, he's never been in a position where his rage issues have REALLY cost him.

Zimmerman's just an overgrown brat, but in this case one with a gun, some stereotypes, a sense of entitlement and a big rage issue. But this time he seems to have gotten himself into something that his dad might not be able to get him out of so easily (but hey, he has been so far, so what do I know?)
