So someone was bullying a neighborhood's houses and the men's warehouse owner killed a black man that was running around the neighborhood with a sack with a dollar sign on it?
Should I read the OP?

That's sort of my point. Multiple people have established everyone is racist, your anger is for this situation and similar ones because it effects you, yet similar situations occur where the roles are reversed or replaced all the time. This is what I mean by "I'm not concerned about this type of failure to enforce the law as much as other ones", and this is what I mean by "is there really a difference between this mexicant and some bangers."
Pretty much, sub human would be more accurate. Anything else to contribute?
I think people are making the silly assumption that even most white people could be considered human using the same standards.
It doesn't come off as racism as much as it does a general disdain for the current state of the human race to me. I'm down with that.
I'm very sorry my point of view is different than yours, that means what I have to say is not important or valuable and shouldn't be heard. I should have no rights because what I think is different than the majority of people, some would even say what I think is unnatural or abnormal and a danger to the moral fabric of society.
Yep.
I think the word you're looking for is sociopath.
Even then, that's still not really what's happening here. The statement he made in regards to the legal system in this thread read more along the lines of "Yes, this shit is fucked. But there are plenty more fucked up things about our legal system that destroy the lives of millions of people on the reg and completely overshadow incidents like this."
because this is the BG poopdeck and it's serious business. didn't you get the memo?
Still not a good argument. Bringing up something you find "more serious" in an effort to detract from the gravity of the issue in question? That's Baby Gap bullshit. No one gives a fuck about some racist's assessment of how important this story is compared to shit HE finds more important. Get that weak shit out of here.
Same law yes. Completely different set of circumstances. This kid posed no threat, unless he was going to hit the shooter with a Skittle in the eye. Compare the two incidents. Guy goes out of his way to initiate a confrontation, albeit a one sided confrontation at that. Kid gets shot. Kid goes out of his way to avoid a confrontation, snaps, and stabs his bully to death after being hit repeatedly. I understand that there are legal loopholes and such, but there is no way the Stand Your Ground law should even be mentioned in this asshole's defense strategy. The calls were terrible to listen to and it's very clear this guy pursued the kid for no other reason than he was black. Therefore suspicious. It's the same one evoked for that kid who stabbed his bully a dozen times a couple months ago, isn't it?

George Zimmerman, the self-appointed neighborhood watchman who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old Florida high school student, last month blatantly violated major principles of the Neighborhood Watch manual, ABC News has learned.
The manual, from the National Neighborhood Watch Program, states: "It should be emphasized to members that they do not possess police powers, and they shall not carry weapons or pursue vehicles. They should also be cautioned to alert police or deputies when encountering strange activity. Members should never confront suspicious persons who could be armed and dangerous."
Yet Zimmerman, who claimed self-defense in shooting Martin, made a nonemergency call to police and pursued him anyway before fatally shooting the teenager on Feb. 26.
The Sanford, Fla., Police Department, relenting to massive public pressure, released parts of these 911 tapes pertaining to the shooting.
On the tapes, Zimmerman, claiming Martin looked intoxicated, says he saw the teenager cut through from the main street in the tidy Retreat at Twin Lakes, onto a path between two blocks of townhouses, and decided to gave chase. Zimmerman told a police dispatcher, "These a**holes, they always get away"
Dispatcher: "Are you following him?"
Zimmerman: "Yes."
Dispatcher: "OK, we don't need you to do that."
Zimmerman didn't stop and ultimately confronted Martin, who was carrying a package of Skittles and a bottle of iced tea. The two allegedly scuffled. In a series of seven 911 calls, eyewitnesses reported that they heard a sort of howling. One caller said, "they're wrestling right in the back of my porch, one man is yelling help."
Then a gun shot rang out. The howling and yelling stopped.
Zimmerman wasn't arrested at the time, and ABC News has learned he was not given a drug or alcohol test that night -- standard in most homicide investigations.
Law enforcement expert Rod Wheeler, who listened to the tapes, told ABC News that Zimmerman, not Martin, sounded intoxicated in the police recordings of the 911 calls.
"When I listened to the 911 tape, the first thing that came to my mind is this guy [Zimmerman] sounds intoxicated. Notice how he's slurring his words. We as trained law enforcement officers, we know how to listen for that right away, and I think that's going to be an important element of this entire investigation," Wheeler said.
According to Chris Tutko, the director of the National Neighborhood Watch Program, there are about 22,000 registered watch groups nationwide, and Zimmerman was not part of a registered group -- another fact the police were not aware of at the time of the incident.
Martin's family is now calling on the FBI to take over what it says is a botched investigation.
Wasn't taking a stance on it either way. Just a clarification since it seems people are misrepresenting it.
Regardless, it's not a position entirely without merit. The guy hasn't been arrested yet, but if/when the FBI gets involved I doubt he'll get off scot-free.
Life is priceless. But it is an oddity that people get so worked up about individual cases like this while simultaneously ignoring much more virulent and destructive problems with our legal system. It's like an inverse care law. The amount of care on the internet is inversely proportional to the scale of the atrocity being committed. I'll admit to being mildly relieved that only one child died this time.
It's an opinion, not an argument. Much like how you remind people that jokes and trolling that people find offensive (Within this same thread too!), you ought to remember that opinions are fair game as well. It seems you're out to silence him for who he is more than disagree with his opinion on the issue.
I don't care about silencing him -- someone else called him racist/sociopathic, that wasn't me. I just think he's dumb. He can talk all day long if he wants. My thing is, bringing up other shit doesn't make this less important.
Anyway there seems to be more & more developments as the day passes, hopefully the FBI will handle it appropriately. Sad that a kid had to die like that because he was walking around while having dark skin.
Only one gun wound?
Black kid, white shooter.
He's gettin away with it lol
I'm going to disagree Cream. If the FBI does get involved this asshole will face some serious time. But I would be shocked if he was charged with 1st degree murder.
Getting the feeling more and more that the LEO that responded is a scrub and largely responsible for a majority of the shitstorm brewing. SOP for killing someone in self-defense isn't full handcuffs and zip-tied to the seat arrest but you go straight to the station for immediate questioning and detained, not biggulps.mpeg
Fully expect the media to grill the police department's ass as Zimmerman is looking less and less legit.
