I had a tarot deck (actually still have but stopped using) and I would do different layouts along with a book on tarot basics letting me know what each position meant for the cards etc

anyway I used to do it at the end of the day to see if it was right, instead of doing it at the start of the day and making some sort of self-fulfilling prophecy by looking for those things that day

in anycase I stopped because one time it was so very spot on, right down to the fact that if the cards had been laid down counterclockwise it wouldn't have made sense, or really any other positioning in the 5 point layout I had chosen that day
