I'm afraid paladin is going to be too rogue-like now that they have combo points. The overhaul on lock really makes it tempting, chaos bolt looks so damn cool.

With Paladin although it has 5 holy power to act as combo points, the best part of that is that it's built on you, not the mob. This makes changing targets much less punishing. Plus the ability to tank heal or dps makes it more worthy to play than Rogue.
The only thing going for me at the moment for Rogue is the ability to Shadowstep no matter what spec, just talent choice.
Yeah I guess that is nice. My main problems come down to Melee or ranged. I've always gotten higher ratings as melee, but raiding is more fun on ranged. Having second/third roles seems nice, but I never play my offspecs. I'm always PVE/PVP specced since I do so much pvp.
Friend is playing mage so I'm going to go with either lock pal or warrior. So much overhaul really worries me on lock, and not enough worries me on war.
I'd go with lock or pally, warriors are usually strong at the start of each expansion but if MoP holds true to the formula they will get fucked in the ass by middle/end of the expansion in a lot of ways. Warlocks seem to be pretty solid since their days of being HP stone vending machines in Vanilla and paladins are always good.
Anyone have insight on the Monk class or know a good blog to read up on it? Still on the fence about making a full class switch and since I can't win any of these damn beta key contests to try it out myself I need some data.
Any insight of how Hunters are shaping up in MoP?
Locks are coming up pretty nicely but I just dislike the class itself, mostly because I dont enjoy DoT damages
Has anyone hit 90 on lock/pal/war yet, that has played them for some length of time at 85?
Massive News

The expansion is very close to being upon us.
Even with them taking Jade Forest off-line? I set my hopes pretty low when they said it would be for an "extended period", but I guess that's entirely relative. Re-reading the post, they're pretty vague as to what they're actually doing to the zone.
Edit: Post I'm referencing: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/5590648487
Once addons are live I'm going to do a lot more playing on the beta. Still need to determine what class I'm going to main between lock/war/pal.
I doubt they will do an august release, regardless of GW. WoW is its own animal and doesn't really compete with other releases.
Yeah, but September is looking really good. I was expecting November but it seems plausible.
Cinematic Release at Gamescom this year

Wait, isn't blizzard known for releasing major patches right before MMO launches? I wouldn't be surprised if they try to squeeze in MOP before GW. I was already expecting a late August early September release and now that they are pushing out the raid bosses so quickly it feels like they are rushing a little.
Best hope is that they put in 5.0 around GW release, and panda a few weeks later, but I'm still convinced late november-jan.
They have indicated that they're going against tradition and not popping a last minute surprise raid just before the 5.0 content patch. If all they have to show at Gamescom is the cinematic opening then I'm not all that confident September is a realistic launch window. Hopefully there's more details than 'ooh look new cinematic' as it would help us know how close to 'done' they are with MoP.
