Sha of Fear is so goddamn fun, I cant wait to do it on live.
Fights do look fun, was watching them.
Man I wish I could collect transmog shit on my DK for my monk beforehand instead of farming Ulduar in MoP..but who knows maybe I can solo that place come mists as a monk.
Perhaps someone can help me with a couple of questions as I haven't had the chance to fuck around on the beta yet.
If I have 50 Alterac Valley wins on one character, and another 50 alltogether on my other characters, will they combine and give me the Alterac Valley Veteran achievement?
Are the heroic boss titles from Cataclysm being removed in mop? Blackwing's bane, Dragonslayer, Firelord ect? If so I need to get my mage Firelord asap <_<
For the wins thing, they wont add together I dont believe. I was asking someone something similar about the HK achievements. If you are working on say the 20k HK achievement and you're at 19,999 and you go onto your other character and score a HK, you wont get the 20k, your alt will be at 1 HK. But if you get the 20k achievement on your main, then swap over, your alt will have the 20k achievement and I BELIEVE will start from 20k onwards...i'm not sure on that last part..but that better be true because I dont want to grind honorable kills all over again on my monk.
It will definitely not start from 20k.
Achievements are still entirely individual chars, just now you can show them on different ones.
I was pretty sure the money ones and others would carry over across characters. That's a crock of shit if it doesn't as some of those achievements are a huge pain in the ass to start over again (looking at you HKs and Loot (x) gold achievements). I can't really see the point in not carrying them over honestly, because it doesn't effect anything, you got that 100k HK achievement either way at the end of the day, only difference is if you were at 75k on character A, then went to character B and got to 100k, you've almost done double the work. Things like that in the past have been reasons why I dont end up making an alt my main character (I achievement whore). It's one of the reasons why i'll never grind Defiler rep again (seriously can we fix this shit Blizzard?).
That said I may still end up going monk over DK in the expansion, but it will way in more on my decision especially since I can't find really good information comparing the two classes and I have no beta key myself.
I still have no clue what I'm playing in xpac. Friend said I should play rogue cause shadow damage sounds cool, but I don't want to do it again.
Warrior is looking less likely, all I see are complaints on forums. Paladin and Warlock are probably tied, or mage if my friend doesn't play it. Gotta have a class that excels both at pve and 2200-2400 arenas. I tell myself I want multi roles, but I never play them.
Yeah, if I pick DK I get fucked in the ass by hotfix nerfs from Blizzard at random times and then get boosted to godly being at other times to follow quickly with another nerf while the community at large continues their non stop bitching over the class. Monk I have no clue how it plays/feels but a friend is letting me play their beta account so i'll know in a few days if I like it over DK. As for warrior...eh i'm not sure why anyone plays a warrior after the first patch of an expansion in this game, they just go downhill sooooo fast. Paladins and warlocks are good standbys I think, they teeter back and forth on the nerf edge but never fall to either side too much unless there is a bug or some terribly OP trinket.
You could always play shaman Boyiee if they havnt been deleted by the time MoP comes out![]()
I have everything (except monk obviously) between 80-85 and I can't stand shaman outside of healing, moreso than any other class except for maybe druid (outside of resto/bear). I liked lock a lot I just hate using a pet in arena really lol.
I don't understand how it is that cata has made people think wars get weaker farther into xpacs, but yeah it's the exception, not the rule. At 60/70/80 it's been the class that's probably worst to play while undergeared but scaled way past everyone in all 3.
Anyone remember AQ40 weaps? Let alone naxx...
Or ArP? Remember druid/war taking over as soon as people got deep thunder and dominating 2's, as well as 3's with damn near any 3rd, and war being the core of almost any 5's team for pretty much the entire expansion?
Or Shadowmourne?
Yeah I played war at 70/80 and it was always miserable to play it early on, then later in xpac I could play with my feet while playing FFXIII on my other monitor and top meters by 30%.
Onyx dragon is broken on starter island so I can't get past to try out my monk more D:
You could always make a non-Panda monk. Assuming you've brought over heirlooms it should only take a little while to catch back up to your current level.
I wanted to try out the monks, also i'm using someone elses beta access since I never got a key, and they apparently never got heirlooms...damn slackers
warlock is actually pretty fun @mop, I'm switching to warlock for my weekday raiding.
Some guy found a bugged chest in MoP, gives 10 gold and 28k exp every time you open it. He spent 10 hours at his PC opening this chest until he hit 90 from 87.
10 hours. Opening a chest. He then went and made a youtube video about it, claiming it the fastest way to 90.
10hrs for 3 levels? I think when Cata came out I did 80 to 85 in only 15hrs max.
