I did Engineering/Enchanting on my Hunter. The Tinkers are extremely useful, especially since Hunter is so... ignored... and Enchanting is just awesome. Got sick of having to hit up enchanters every time I got an upgrade.

At the moment engineering offers the best increase in DPS. Assuming the craftable head goes in, and it stays true to the current model, it will be equal to the first normal tier of raid helms in terms of item budget. So it'll be 983 agi, 1835 stamina, 2 cogwheel sockets and a meta gem. The cogwheels will be your secondary stats(haste, mastery, etc) and are unique so you can't throw two haste cogwheels in it for instance. So if that all holds true, engineering will certainly be useful right out of the gate.
Edit: It looks like the craftable helms are equivalent to heroic blues this time around. 690 primary stat and 1275 stamina, still keeping the 2 cogwheels and meta. Usable at 85 however. Looks like there's a dragonkin trinket again, with 751 mastery and an on use 60 second whelpling guardian. Two mounts, a reusable/portable anvil/forge, and some boe ranged weapons again.
Are there new engineering mounts? I didn't see that in the notes. I wouldnt use engineering for the helm since it's only ever good in the first tier and never upgraded for some reason. The parachute and synapse hand shit were pretty fun though when I was engineering in Cata at the start. I wish bombs did shit again in pvp like back in Vanilla and BC >_<
The mmo-champion database(WoWhead has them too) has a couple new ones listed in engineering, but they're likely datamined so take it with a grain of salt. They may or may not go live. http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=127139 and http://mop.wowhead.com/spell=127138
FUCKING SHIT FINALLYEnchanting
- All rods were removed, everything now uses a Copper Rod.
- Many cast times were reduced from 5 sec to 1.5 sec.
Best change ever, jesus.
Oh yes, this pleases me.
This was pretty interesting:
Get your old world farming in now.In general, enemies in raids and dungeons drop significantly more gold than outdoor foes, specifically because we are assuming that the gold is going to be split 5, 10, or 25 ways. As player power rises over time, it obviously becomes possible to complete old content with significantly fewer players, such that the gold rewards become disproportionately high.
In the past, our only solution was to drastically reduce the gold dropped by legacy content across the board (e.g., Magtheridon, much of Karazhan, etc.). In Mists, we have a new system in place that normalizes gold yield based on the number of players involved in the kill. If a Black Temple enemy drops 100 gold today on live, and you kill it with a 25-player raid group in Mists, it'll also drop 100 gold and each player will get 4 gold. If you solo Black Temple, that enemy will also give you 4 gold. If you do it with 4 friends, it'll drop 20 gold and each of you will get 4.
In other words, the gold obtained from killing raid or dungeon creatures no longer depends upon how many people you bring, or do not bring, with you. This system does not apply to anything in the outdoor world.
Well that's one way to fight inflation ... but there's still trash drops I guess.
Yeah farming level 70 heroics is more lucrative at this point than soloing old raid bosses.
Anyone know if the Insane is one of the account transferrable titles for MoP?....because it better be
That old world farming thing sucks balls, but as long as they dont nerf the vendor price on most of the drops it's still worth it sometimes to run them. You can make a lot off of running ICC and other places if you get a good amount of weapon drops.
Proper farming of mats will still outdo dungeon farming most of the time. Especially at the beginning of an xpac. Selling elementium for 500g/stack faster than i can click confirm was glorious.
mining > prospect > reds into rubies with alch and jc greens the other colors > disenchant/sell dust was crazy good profit last i played. Can't see that fact changing that much in mists.
Yeah, but mats at this stage are terrible lol. Fucking Elementium ore going for 15g a stack right now, that's less then even iron ore.
That's usually the reason my character at the start of an expansion ends up being 2 gathering professions and then swaps to better shit once I begin raiding.
The Blizzard store is showing a September 25 release date for MoP.

How coincident with Brewfest.
20 bucks for a mount and 3 "I bought Mists!" signs? I'll pass.
