@ Ryskar and Omni - Forgotten journeys on Odin are available in mass for 10-15k http://www.ffxiah.com/item/3496/frgtn-journey . Probably be way better off farming elsewhere for gil and spending the whopping 200-250k for the additional 20 journeys. Calculate in the dynamis currency you would need to upgrade the NQ>+1 and you're probably much better off just buying the extra journeys.

Is Gooey Gerard ever better to use over Falcorr for DDing when with other people on BST with the fact that he can lower attack and defense pretty well with his ooze? Does he also get regen in the rain like normal slugs?

He's a nice support pet, for the -10% HP at the start of battle, and enslow. But he's not the best DD. Falcorr will outparse him.

Definitely soloable by nin/dnc, ridiculously easy, shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Ochain pld too, that I know of - takes a bit longer though lol.

QFT, Gooey should be a strictly MDB pet, never should use for DPS. Only use Dipper against plantoids and some minor situations, Falcor in dynamis and respectively most NM's strictly for the TH and evasion/TA. If you are doing anything else, hobs is a BEAST, he hits for 100+ each hit on crits in abyssea over FF, and DA a whole lot more than falcor TA. Friend solos all Caturei with Hobs, and I've solo'd almost all Ironclads and most abyssea NMs with Gore.

I have it set to auto-update my melee gear swaps, and the spellcasts are written with that in mind in terms of zoning and such, but I forget to unload it on my mules/mage jobs often and they end up crashing.

You can have different autoexec xml files, then have spellcast load autoexec xmls when first run. I don't remember the exact context, though, and posting from phone. I'll look later for the rules, or I'm sure they are on windower.net somewhere.

Hope this is the right section for this:

Trying to create a shortcut that can toggle mute for ffxi only as though I had opened the sound mixer and muted it specifically but without the extra steps.
Found an application called Nircmd which does this sort of thing for for some reason muting pol.exe does absolutely noting to mute the game.
Does anyone have a clue what magical process or exe file is making the sounds for ffxi? as the task manager only shows me pol.exe

All other programs can be muted perfectly fine.

Ruinator is a beast in and outside of Abyssea, do Ruinator.

Exenterator is also a great WS as well. I'd say Ruinator PURELY because you play bst more. If you played thf more, I'd say exen.

It lands on most NMs, actually. I've maybe seen 1 exception in personal experience - haven't done any Legion though, so can't comment about those.

So I had noticed BG wiki still says corsair has A+ parry, I knew that had been an old rumor and was sure it was debunked... just tested out level sync'ing to my alt with a lvl 78 job, capped @ 284 parry. Then switched to NIN sync'd to 78, 284 katana/parry/evasion no merits in any of those. I don't have an account for editting the BG wiki, someone should fix that to A- parry for COR.

I haven't seen it be resisted yet, on NMs or HNMs.

But how many times were you looking for the wears off message or you just going by hp drop? If it does work on that many things that's pretty sick to start alot of fights out with...
