What's the current bang-for-your-buck storage space solution in XI? I need more space on my mule, and I think it's about time to replace his 40 180gil Water Jugs from over half a decade ago.

I think I'll probably end up power-levelling his MNK to 20 (should be quick with Nov/Decenial rings) so I can OP Warp him to Valkurm and grind some fame also for the gobbag quests for more storage.

BST makes these fights a snooze. Go with BST.

Does the chainspell pixie mess the pet up? Or do you use a diff pet depending on which pixie, scorpion, and fly?

actually, I'll elaborate on this, I'm not looking to slaughter my inventory, what are the minimum BST sets I would need to solo dynamis and T2 VNMs on Orcus or pixie path?

not at all if you use falcor, lucky, or gooey. when it chainspells run in a wide arc about 20' away from it. every time a spell lands it causes a hate reset, but running in a wide arc like that allows your pet to get a swing in and re-establish hate. Not a single spell will land on you.

Honestly, a full perle bst with 2 AH axes can do both with ease. Efficiency/coinage will go up as you gear yourself obviously. Buy a pair of ogre gloves for a reward macro at bare minimum.

Excellent thanks. So really just need a tp/ws/reward set? I'll be able to whip up eaf+2 set and any AF or relic necessary fairly quickly.

yeah. body/legs/feet for tp, hands for ws. (in the af2+3 set). Head for tp as well, though I bought Ocelomeh Headpiece+1 for the regen. your call on that one. 2 pdt axes if youre willing to go that far. They're very worth it, and have surprising damage on them for a vit axe.

My recently burned to bst, these are the things I would suggest to other "don't care too much" bsts.

-pdt axes - I did 2 in 2 nights
Monster gloves +2 - same level pets are nice
Monster gaiters +2 - +30% reward
Ferine pants +2 - Extra -dt on pets and a chunk of haste on legs for when you're swinging, too.

The rest can come if/when you want, but those 4 things will help a lot.

Depends on the job really... and what weapon... that being said I'd kinda like melo melo it's pretty tame if you got some regen atmas and you can pretty much make sure you don't ever kill it

also whats best atmacites for nin?

I've been trying to get Galdr ring, too (0/6 or so, so far, on Yilbegan even having a shadow). I tend to do all my VNMs on SMN/RDM. I can fleet wind all over the zone, and Garuda has no problems killing them. Convert if I need it, and ~600-700 MP siphon every 5 minutes means MP is never a problem. I've mostly been doing East Ronfaure for T1 upgrades, then xarcabard T2 + T3 (Wind Blade works well on Feuerunke without having to wait on Hundred Fists, and Erebus is pretty easy, too. Ruthven is also pretty easy).

Then I switch to BST and grab a THF friend to kill Yilbegan.

Have your Yilbegans ever turned to face the pet? I've had instances where the wyrm just will not use its tail and this means eating Soul Douse repeatedly.

the speculation is that it only turns if it is a yilby that was depopped and not killed since, otherwise it should not spin

well yeah but not like you are getting more from other mobs... also if you stack lots of store tp atmas /sam and wear all haste/store tp stuff and offhand something that hits alot you can often get tp fast enough to self skillchain. I did that alot on rng/sam using Mkris. And if mediate/sekka is up you definitely can

Hi I was wanting some tips on my Kaustra set, and I was having trouble finding resources on how the dmg worked on it. I currently use:

how are you 80/80 on sch. You must have a lot of situational and largely unnecessary gear most of which you could put in mog sack most of the time to make space for more unnecessary kaustra gear.
