Do killer effects from all sources stack to cap at 50%? If it's 50%, is that achievable from any killer effect and if so how potent would that be if used in a solo. Just randomly saw a bunch of killer items and was wondering lol.

They all stack, but Circles give a damage done/taken bonus separate from their killer boost. With BST AF3+2 body, you can get +25% damage done and -25% damage taken with capped killer effect on top of a 50% intimidation rate... against old content monsters. Jobs other than AF3+2 body wearing BST don't get any kind of damage done/taken bonus from killer effects.

5 counter kicks penance for sure
1 formless always good
I have 4 mantra now since always have 2nd account mage nearby, the regen effect isn't worth anything, and 24% extra HP for the entire party can be nice quite often.

I’m assuming when you say 24% your including relic+2(augmented)?

I have mantra now as well, with the AF2+2 its pretty nice compared to the others that I never use (don't even use formless strikes).

For DRK/PLD or WAR?

WAR, only real choices are Jingang and Etourdissante(+1)
DRK/PLD, Those 2 are only AH options. WSD+10% probably best/fastest - str or oat better, but take more gil vs time. STP might have a case if no NNI gear yet, make for an easier 5/6hit but definitely look up the stp needed before deciding on it.

What's an easy setup to kill Shinryu now without a brew?

He's actually been soloed by a few jobs with good temp item usage. For anything other than a solo you have to beware of his hate reset. I would say a MNK + WHM/THF can do it just fine now at 99 with temps and proper gear sets.

I've seen videos of SCH RDM DRG BLU. I've heard testimony of BST. WAR or RNG... probably not.

BST can solo too, I've held him to 50% before, not attacking... or using TP moves... just until our Monk who failed miserably could proc. If I can hold to 50% without really trying... BST can most likely solo.
