You could force the update via check files since about 8-8:30pm EST or so without logging in. POL is down for another 4mins or so, and the check files method adds >4mins to to check time, so you might as well wait now.

I was able to force the update to FFXI using the "delete a couple of random files and run a File Check" method, but I wasn't able to do the same for POL. Not sure what I did wrong. Or is there no update to POL itself?

There is no POL update.

Update took all my maps and made them the shitty default ones, anyone remember where the .dat pack with all marked maps is found? Was thinking I got it on the windower forums but I dont see it.

5/5 snake eye is also overratted after G2 update, it's only useful if you snake eye on an unlucky number, and I rarely get to use it on unlucky from my personal experience.

I disagree, mainly because the important DD rolls have 8/9 as an unlucky, and I almost always double up on a 7. Even with an 11 up, 5/5 snake eye means 50% chance of snake eye giving an 11 from 5 upwards, which means 50%ish of the time you can hit 11 instantly on one of your rolls instead of repeatedly busting to keep 11 chain. That of course means more shooting.
Apart from that, cheers for the input, will drop them after I finish re-re-meriting last stand.

Well, they drop more Forgotten Items, and supposedly have a higher drop rate for NM pop items (like the Fomors). As far as I know there is no proof if there is an effect for base relic weapons.

So I tried replacing my maps after the update since some of them got blanked by it. Not working. I'm unloading everything into the right spot. Did SE change the .dat numbers for the maps or what?
