THF questions for people who might know: (Sorry if these have been asked before):


1) Is Rancor mantle/Nefarious the real best tp combo for thief? (As opposed to Atheling/Rancor mantle.)

2) Also, is it actually worth tping in a demonry ring/epona's even if it makes me lose a hit? I seem to see people doing that outside of abyssea.

3) Is it worth it to TP in Thaumas legs for the str/acc/attack/going back to true haste cap over my thf af3+3 for the 4 crit rate?

1) No, Rancor + Atheling
2) No fucking clue
3) Use Thaumas

I agree, I just thought TH was directly after enspell effects in the check order, and before samba.

TH+ will proc over Haste Samba.

Nyzul Isle always has light weather. Of course, waste of tag if you're doing Uncharted at the moment.

Yeah doing the cure staff since it looks like I'll be doing SCH for nyzul, so I'm boned there too. Is light more frequent in either sky or ro'meave that I should afk in one over the other?

Edit: Also is there a way to set up autoexec to do a call when weather pops? I'm here solo so I'm not worried about anyone reporting me, I'm not very familiar with autoexec at all.

I would reccomend just doing something else. Light weather is pretty dang rare. To the point it's kinda always a oh wow it's soooo pretty when you do see it. Tbh I've never seen it in moon and have seen it more in qufim than sky. Part of that might have been having been in qufim a little more but then again I did farm FOV in sky alot back in the day

Wanna get my RNG going again first... can anyone share an ideal Jishnu's set (with alternative pieces of equipment where it seems appropriate) please? :D Any starting point would be nice, I just don't want to go through all of the new gear that's been out since I've been gone.

I see there's a Rancor Mantle now. Before my break it was just discovered that the fTP bonus on Gorgets applies to all hits of Jishnu's... does this make Ele Gorget + Rancor Mantle > Collar now? Thanks in advance I really appreciate it.

In terms of the gorget/rancorous, yes. It is the better combo.

Off the top of my head, I think an idea setup for Jishnu's would be something like this:
Vulcan's/gatta+1/gandiva/gargouille
Khepri bonnet/gorget/jupiter's/moonshade
Khepri jacket/mustela gloves(athos on fTP bonus days)/thundersoul/rajas
rancorous/elemental belt/khepri kecks/(kacura+1/mustela depending on set bonus)

I'm probably wrong with a few pieces though. Seeing as how no one has khepri gear there are other alternatives such as cuauhutli headpiece+1/athos tabard/augmented haidate. Myrmex mittens are pretty decent too from the new gear.

Also, when /WAR Oneiros knife/legion scutum combo is idea for the fencer bonus.

Im not sure where this question would go, but I'll just ask here. I had downloaded FFXI from steam onto another computer a couple months back, but never ended up playing due to technical reasons. I tried reinstalling FFXI from my steam account onto a new computer, and now I am prompted to either start playonline registration or enter my POL ID. Well, I don't remember my POL ID and when I go to try and start POL registration, it just tells me I need to transfer my POL ID to a Square ENi account.

Is there anyway I could get a new POL ID or would I need the old one?

Useless for WAR. Best WS piece for VS if Attack isn't capped (is, use Beir +1) and Accuracy is (isn't, use Anguinus). Doesn't make sense to me for it to be useful on Shoha, but I honestly do not know. Similarly, I would imagine it's best Resolution piece if attack isn't capped, but I am unfamiliar with comparisons off hand/don't feel like doing math. So, if someone else wants to step in for SAM and DRK..
