And so I did, but nothing happens. Is this an actual quest? Or just an easter egg?

I usually just farm robber crabs for BS/KS. If you mean purely KS... then I don't think that's possible.

If you have an abundance of Beastman Seals, you can use the NPC Shemo to convert them to Kindred Seals. He will trade three of the same seals into one of any other type.

In the interests of saving time, if you can manage it, farm enemies that drop your respective testimonies.

Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't referring to Athos's feet "Leggings", but rather to the legs "Tights". If you mean I shouldn't use Athos's tights for the crit dmg, what else would you suggest? I have been working on Byakko's augments, but even at best I only see the dex beating out Athos's, barring the potential for the random slot to be crit rate. Usukane is an option i have, and can easily buy the ZNM hiadate.

As for the hat, if Athos's legs is a decent option still, I do feel that the 8str 3% crit rate the head effectively gives is also a decent option. While i do agree a maxed out Shura +1 will be slightly better, I feel the Athos's head will be close behind until I can get the body to use instead for the set bonus(If that's truely viable, Loss of str i haven't quite considered yet, Impetus down of course). If i switch to body, then the head will only be offering 1% crit rate, and I might consider other options at that point.

Edit: and while we're referring to shura +1 augments, Do you really feel that will beat Mekira (+1) for WS's? Losing 9-10 str, 25 atk, and 3/8 days fTP boost for 2% WS dmg seems a bit underwhelming to me

Aias/Hachi is coming out better than Athos/Athos on VSmite on slightly above fodder mobs outside (still capped accuracy), by about 1%ish. For feet use Tantra+2/Kacura+1.

Max augment on shura+1 is 3% ws damage and can also get SC damage/attack as well iirc. I do know it came out better for shoha depending on buffs/target.

EDIT: found Jinjo's post, for legs Thaumas > Eux+3 > Eux+2 > Hachiryu > Usukane >>>>>> Byakko's if acc capped (Augmented shura haidate+1 varies depending on augments). If uncapped still shouldn't be using Byakko's, even Tantra+2 kecks would be better.

I have read wiki and it seemed highly confusing to me. Can anyone PM or reply back a guide on how to access mineshaft from newton if you wanted to do ENM there? There are 3 chars involved if it changes anything.

Question regarding the VW NM Gaunab. Is it difficult to land paralyze (or paralyze II) on this NM? We had an EX vulnerability for it, and I was spamming paralyze, with all sorts of temp items for magic acc (only thing I didnt have have is blm sub).

It is possible (I saw it happen once), but you cannot get off the MAcc floor. It is like trying to land Silence or Stun on Kirin.
