Just came back after a couple year break, What are the standard subs for WHM at 99? When I left I was using BLM and SCH.

Some people like RDM sub for WHM, and you still see a few hold outs with BLM sub, but I think pound for pound SCH is the best WHM sub. I can honestly say that the only time I do not sub SCH for WHM is if I am doing quests or running around and sub BLM just for Warp II and Warp.

I solo'd regular Fairy Ring on BST with Falcor. I took a breath to the face when I was pulling it and almost died, and it was a little dicey after that but it's certainly doable. That said I doubt PUP can solo that, much less the lost version. 2 bsts could probably do it as jimbob suggested but I wouldn't know firsthand.

I generally always whm/blm for VW runs, the ability to d2 your party and stun is a huge help. There are obviously huge benefits to /rdm and /sch but I don't run out of mps with the bajillion ethers! If we're killing something that may be a remote challenge like Provenance Watcher or doing an event such as dynamis or legion I'll sub /rdm or /sch.

So for gearing for multi hit attacks like evisceration would an item piece with 4dex 10 attack be better than say an item with 10 dex?

Have two fast questions if you will please.

1 What 3 best atmacites should MNK and NIN use. I have Atmacite of the Valiant, Atmacite of Coercion, as well as Atmacite of Persistence.
Persistence is one i am not sure about, MNK and NIN both Relics and use DEX mod WS so would a DEX atmacite be better? I also tend to tank a lot on MNK, I was hoping for a setup that would work for either job. Thank you so much for any insight

2 Does Rani still need to be Brewed or Can WHM WHM MNK THF do it without? If I dont need a Brew what things should I worry about? Just meteor every 10%? Thank you again.

i'd brew rani with that lowman. meteor is a killer for one thing, and its -pdt will make the fight last too long.

/SCH - What you should be using 99% of the time. The level cap increases changed nothing, just made more people /rdm because it's basically /sch in easy mode and at the same time generally inferior. Having the ability to hit 500 enhancing magic on WHM for the maximum barspell resist, giving your enfeebling skill an improvement even if it's capped, getting free curagas occasionally with Penury due to AF3+2 pants usage, Sublimation (which is 2HP>3MP at /SCH45+), etc. (not to mention being able to respectably use Aspir under Dark Arts as you get 346 skill I think, don't recall exact #) are just overall great boons that make the sub a keeper.
/BLM - For stun/easy traveling. Against anything serious I leave D2s to the BLMs.
/RDM - I personally never use this (and admitedly I haven't subbed it once as I don't see the point...ever...with /SCH around), but I can see some stuff (like fast access Sleep/Dispel) being worth considering as you have to pop Dark Arts+Addendum: Black on /SCH to use them. I prefer not casting Refresh on myself either when I have a situation where melees are taking a bit of damage and need necessary curing more than I need a few MP (and this is also why I prefer Sublimation). Essentially, the less often you cast refresh, the more /sch pulls ahead. Convert alone isn't worth subbing this for although I know I saw quite a few people try to advocate it when cap was 80.

I generally sub rdm or blm whenever there is need for quick dispels/sleeps, or if it's something too easy to need any extra mp(d2, etc).

I wanna know before I waste a pop set trying to solo it.

Proc NIN weapon? Proc NIN means I don't care to invest much, if any, time into obtaining the weapon.

Rex is heavily resistant to physical damage. As in, you will feel bad about life when you fight him as a melee.

My groups always melee zerged with him only 1 real DD party and a couple corsairs.

Last I remember fighting it: Poison and Addle simply won't land (Guessing it's immune/highly resistant). Silence still feels like abit of a crapshot, but not as retarded as it used to be.
