Which elemental dot would be the best to keep on mobs to assist melee in their damage?
Drown Lowers STR (Water) - Lowers target's melee damage
Burn Lowers INT (Fire) - Target's offensive magic spells do less damage, damage from black magic increases
Frost Lowers AGI (Ice) - Target's evasion and ranged accuracy decrease
Choke Lowers VIT (Wind) - Target's defense is reduced
Rasp Lowers DEX (Earth) - Lowers target's accuracy and chance of critical attacks
Shock Lowers MND (Lightning) - MND-based debuffs hit more often and last longer
1 - 39 INT = 1hp/tic (-5 stat)
40 - 69 INT = 2hp/tic (-7 stat)
70 - 99 INT = 3hp/tic (-9 stat)
100 - 149 INT = 4hp/tic (-11 stat)
150 - ??? INT = 5hp/tic (-13 stat)
Any good DD is capped fSTR in VW, so I'd say Frost there, Legion I would say Choke.
Can Velocious belt be used to make Sonic belt?
Can Sonic belt+1 be used to make Phos belt?
no and no
I dont understand, what is better: Magic Defence Bonus or Magic Damage Taken, elemental resistance?
They all work differentially so kinda situational. Generally speaking unless you have a resist value you know you need to get to to resist a decent portion of the time order of importantance is mdt, mdb, resistance. Of course capping mdt is easy... for a more numbers approach to help understand it I recommend https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Calculating_Magic_Damage.
That mostly explains how much each can reduce though doesn't really go into resist. Basically if you get enough resist depending on the mob you can resist it a hell of alot which of course is more than all the mdt and mdb you can wear overall. But if you don't get enough you only increase resist rate a little effectively wasting slots. Some tanking back in the day involved resist sets because thru trial and error we found specific values needed. But with the rapid increase in lvl (which increases our magic evasion) plus all these new mobs such data just doesn't really exist now
I hate to get into this discussion because I'm not sure but I think "shit is situational?" Years ago when I used to rdm solo I'd generally have -50% MDT then stack +MDB/Int. However, for some mobs like Krab I'd stack water resistance instead...Hopefully someone has a better answer for you.
My random question... As a returning nin... Wtf can I expect coming back to this game after 4 years? What does nin do in abyssea? We still tank?
Check the Returning Player Thread, should be on the first list of pages. You will also be wanted in VW for nin procs, merit those San spells!

How long does it take to rollback an account, and how far back do they normally go?
Fuck a month ugh, but thanks.
People have said less time than that, so you might get lucky and get it in less time.
What 3 best atmacites should MNK and NIN use.
I have Atmacite of the Valiant, Atmacite of Coercion, as well as Atmacite of Persistence.
Persistence is one i am not sure about, MNK and NIN both Relics and use DEX mod WS so would a DEX atmacite be better? I also tend to tank a lot on MNK, I was hoping for a setup that would work for either job. Thank you so much for any insight
Second question is what is the best or near best Shijin Spiral build for Spharai MNK please.
Thank you a lot.
This is the set I have been using.
