LR/marches/haste/AM up set for 5 hit Apoc
Not sure if af3+2 feet (fSTR and set bonus) would be better or not.
Anyone see some alternatives? (I tried some configurations with more phorcys and rose strap but couldnt get anything clearly better). Not sure about switching pole grip to sword strap and bale head to phorcys (would need to WS in hagneia stone too on top of Rajas).
What I could switch for Embrava up (assuming 1x 4tic regain)?
PS: None is doing damn wivre anymore ; ;
You don't need a 5hit build for a capped delay situation, after extensive use of the DPS spreadsheet this is the best set for Apoc in a capped delay situation
Apoc/Pole Grip/-/Anger Bomblet
Bale+2/Ganesha's/Brutal/Bale
Armadaberk/Phorcys/Rajas/Pyrosoul
Atheling/Windbuffet/Calmecac/Phorcys
Im not really sure whats the difference?
Your ratio of white and ws damage wont change with faster swinging?
Nothing will change with faster swinging? Unless you mean overtping because you cant WS on time? For me its very useful to 5hit or almost 5hit (5hit with embrava regain) Apoc because I can self SC pretty much every time. Kinda doubt you counted that in for spreadsheet.
Where can I find the most up to date list for Altana View?
Well I'm confused cuz, for example Exen going by just the stats listed (says 80% agi on otherwiki, 100% on bgwiki) I don't see how it could beat even dancing edge by much if at all, which has higher ftp, an extra hit, and mods that aren't *that* inferior.
Is the otherwiki listing of 1.0ftp wrong or something?
Suppose I'll go ahead and throw out general question: thf, drk, nin, mnk, war, smn. Thief is the least likely to end up with an emp/relic, so I started on exen but I'm verrrry underwhelmed thus far, albeit with only 2 merits and a trash agi set. War and monk seem like big duhs not to do with ukon and spharai, although maybe the monk one can beat out asuran? I'm leaning towards thf and drk, and maybe fucking around with the staff one for smn if none of the others look like must haves.
Sooo... what would other people do?
First of all you do them 5/5 or just dont at all.
2/5 is only 40% MOD when 5/5 is 100% mod (Ofc still with *0.85 Alpha)
Second of all having a good mod set for those WS are much more important than for any other in game because of above fact.
yeah sorry I thought it was pretty obvious I understood that, I'm just looking at end numbers and not seeing how they're that impressive
Your not really understanding how they would be that impressive because you aren't really doing math nor are you using them as they are meant to be used.
If you can't see how 100% stat mod doesn't beat out a 30% by far (if you count chr mod for much of anything you are an idiot since no one stacks it and if you do stack chr you are even dumber) idk what to say but run the numbers. The contribution to base dmg from stats with ok sets is like 2.5X as much with exen than evisceration. Which puts it's base dmg like 80% higher. Which you add in it's like 20% lower ftp... it still comes out to be ALOT stronger than DE.
Still really having a hard time how you can call 6.1875 to 5 a huge difference but 100% to 30% as small.
Also mnk with spharia should merit the merit ws. It kicks the shit out of lolasuran. And pretty sure relic ws too. Empyrean ws at least keeps up though.
chr @70% is exactly 7/10ths as good as agi @100% in the same quantities (although actually closer even given the extra ftp no?), not sure how one is completely retarded and the other is mind-blowingly awesome, but ok...
it's not like we're talking about a str mod or a dex mod on a crit ws...
edit: also is there testing to show that it's actually 100% and not the 80% otherwiki says or 85% that the 17%x5 shown on the merit screen would imply?
AGI exists on relevant melee gear, CHR largely does not. CHR rings sure, but is no CHR gear to match AGI on athos body, ocelomeh head, etc.
Not saying "Exenterator is the Ukko's Fury of dagger WS", just, "It's better than all the others"
I'll start with repeating this
I'll also point out that even if there was alot of chr gear that was worth it you can't just add 2 stat mods like that. For example lets say something had 2 50% mods vs another ws that had 1 100% stat mod. In order for those 2 50%s to be as good as that 1 100% every thing you have that boost stats would have to give average as much increase for BOTH of those stats as the one did for the 1 stat.
ie. if say you had a 100% str mod and could pile on 200 str for it in order to get as much out of a 50% str/dex mod you'd have to have a total of 400 between str and dex. So unless every best str peice you could find happens to have as much dex on it as well... gl.
But since we aren't stacking for chr it actuallly contributes about half as much dmg than dex is. So for really quick math you could say that DE is effectively like a 45% mod but nowhere near 70%
Actually I've seen people who came sch for zergs with less than 400 skill. Like I'd tell them they need 500 and they'd be like lol impossible Im super good and only have 340...
While sub-400 skill is terrible, 500 skill is a bitch to hit. In the past few months, I've yet to see anyone shout for just the pixie NM, which drops one of the items you will want to hit 500. The other items are inventory hogs.
I wouldn't begrudge any SCH for only having 400 skill, but ~440 or so shouldn't be too much to ask for either. Anything under 400 isn't acceptable.
Less than 420 skill is just unacceptable. Even with vastly uncapped skill, LA will bring it to a decent amount (380 or so, I think?), and then you have AF1 pants (+15), AF2 body (+7), colossus/enhancing torque (+7) and AF3+2 head (+10)... That puts you at 419 (assuming 380 for vastly uncapped skill).
A capped delay situation automatically makes me think of a zerg on something worthwhile (higher tier VW, Provenance Watcher, ADL).
On these mobs you'll most likely be subbing WAR for attack/DA gain, but in the set you posted it looks like you need SAM sub so you'll be sacrificing a lot of melee damage just to WS more. Apoc's white damage is equal to or sometimes exceeds their WS damage due to being able to fulltime souleater and maintain your HP with Catastrophe, unless you're using Entropy while maintaining Apoc aftermath. Also in those situations you won't be the only melee to benefit from those buffs, it'll be unlikely you'll self SC with a bunch of other melee throwing weaponskills out.
