Any way for nin/war (also have rdm or blm available, would prefer nin/war for proc)to reliably solo Tunga?
or best just to farm amber while working on other NMs?

/dnc maybe, I don't see /war being very reliable though you could prob get some kills with it via temps and good evasion rng
Work a magic evasion down step and violent flourish macro when Tunga is 77%, 52%, and 27% and Jin/Hi it below those thresholds and it won't chainspell and I could see it happening. Being /DNC will limit your options for proccing. If you can really bring a WHM or level up an Alt, once it Slowgas, erase Slow from NIN or Sacrifice the Slow to the WHM and WHM won't pull hate ever but you must make sure to Erase future Slowgas from NIN asap(keep WHM 20.1 yalms away once WHM's slowed, WHM must stay slowed).
i have bastok flag and stall overwrote it meh, got other stuff too though.
Haven't done KB in years.
Did they up the dring drop rate? (serious question)
Does a +7 attack +4% DA Hecatomb Cap +1 have any uses in any setup?
I haven't done znms since 75 but... rdm could solo t1/2 on any path I think back then. Right now for T1 I'd probably recommend meleeing the chigre it's very squish or the alpakka since it doesn't really do much then run around and die while chigre gives lots of nasty effects if alive too long. For T2 wulgaru is cake to kite. Imp is really squishy and only half way dangerous thing is is spamming agas but they are only tier 2 I think lol. Very very tricky but I did kite it for a good hour once on rdm/whm at 75. Given his lvl of fast cast and casting range (plus I didn't have any plugins back then) I wasn't able to do much to him.
For T3 nuhn was always easy to kite even solo. Lamia... kinda tricky since there are adds but at 75 a 1-2 DDs could zerg them down really fast while popper kited main since it is rng type I think. So at 99 should be really easy to do that. Flayer is kinda annoying with his moves but if you know what you are doing should be easy duo.
Pretty sure people have solo'd tyger so duo shouldn't be too hard just remember evasion/pdt sets when it long time stun/para from Fulmination. And of course mdt before it goes off lol. Or try stunning
Imp can still rape you if you're slow, Chigre kills himself if you have counterstance up, lol.
You'd have to kite Nuhn when he hate resets which is gonna make it a pain in the ass to kill if you're always chasing it. Easier with a 2nd DD.
Ok so, I just got a new computer, and I would really like to install FFXI in it... the problem is I dont have a disc currently available for me... my account is currently active and has all the expansions etc, so that's not the issue, I just want the game :3 any idea where I could get it online? and if it could be for free? Thanks!
PS. I tried steam and I hated it q.q
Im almost positive the official PoL site is selling the full collection for like $20. Could be wrong.
It is only an issue if the flag and stall share the same element. If this is not the case, you can load up your house so the stall element is the highest, and if your stall is the most powerful piece of that element, you get the moghancement.
If they are the same though, the flag will beat it and you will lose out until you remove the flag. Fashion versus function.![]()
Howdy, quick question related to Moten's excel spreadsheets and an Accuracy/Attack Capped set on my monk for VS. This is on ADLs, where we have enough minuets/madrigals/rolls to cap accuracy and attack; most of the gear is quite obvious, but I am torn about two particular slots.
My current set:
Head: Shura+1 with +3% WSD, +4 DEX, +5 Attack
Neck: Nefarious collar
Ammo: Tantra tathlum
Ear1: Brutal
Ear2: Moonshade with +4 Attack, +25 TP Bonus
Body: Tantra+2
Ring1: Epona's
Ring2: Rajas
Back: Rancorous
Belt: Wanion
Feet: Kacura+1
The two slots I am torn with are hands/legs obviously: I am currently using Athos's gloves (do not have myrmex), and Thaumas Legs for the +9 STR. I was considering swapping in Athos's legs for the +4% Crit dmg and the +3% crit rate from pairing the hands/legs. However, when I plug athos's legs into Moten's spreadsheet over Thaumas legs, there is a significant (~80) damage drop in predicted WS damage. I quadruple checked that I had the parameters setup so that attack and accuracy are capped even without thaumas equipped in the set I am testing (so the accuracy/attack from Thaumas legs are playing no role); impetus is set to true, everything is in order. My initital gut instinct was that +4% Crit damage, and +3% crit rate on smite would far outperform 9 STR, but the excel sheet says otherwise. I know people have been critical of these excel sheets before, so I am intereseted in hearing any opinions people may have to offer.
Also, one more minor question--I have been getting torn responses on both forums and in game as to whether rancorous + nefarious or rancorous + gorget would be better in this attack/accuracy capped scenario; if anyone has any advice in that department as well that would also be great. The excel sheet says gorget + rancorous wins, but I am so stubborn about how much I believe the crit hit/dmg should be better on VS that I am questioning the accuracy of the sheet's evaluation for the gorget. Any respones/advice/criticism are certainly appreciated.
So, I'm like miles and miles away from a relic, only came back to the game a few weeks ago after stopping in late 2009 and lo and behold you can solo Dynamis now... so I started collecting, and I have about 25% of the coins needed for Apocalypse and I started thinking way ahead. It's never too early to theorycraft. This is what I came up with for a Catastrophe set so far (keep in mind that I have basically.... none of this yet). Would Phorcys Body beat out Twilight/is there an alternative to twilight until Phorcys if yes? I'm also assuming that this set would suffice well for an Entropy build as well, since it uses the same Gorget/Belt as Cata does.
mathy bits: 9 STP in this WS set, 17.2 TP on Cata, which means need 20.7 TP/hit for 5 hit, which is 34 STP from gear.
Alternatively could use Ogier's hands for WS, lose out on 2 STR and 9 INT for 18.6 TP per WS, and only needing 31 STP in gear. To me, seems like alternative one is better unless there's something I overlooked?
Obviously missing are the aftermath up/down TP sets but I'm too lazy to do them right now, and since they rely on the WS set I wanted to get opinions on that first.
