I think he just meant wars and drks in general. Also, what is the minimum number to kill ADL?

6 can do it but if you don't have really good members or it splits more than once you probably won't win. Would probably want to use drks to help stun implosion if going with this few.

8-9 should get a high win rate with decent players, but some of those can be mules (sch, smns, brd etc don't require much attention during fight except squall)

edit: forgot to mention that twilight melees can zombie it down pretty easily if you do wipe at a lowish %, the real one is the one that gets the summoning animation so you will prob have to keep it occupied for a while to figure it out.

Any reason why this video card wouldn't be able to run FFXI a high settings? Was it ATI or NVidia cards that have issues, in general, with ffxi? Just looking for a cheap card to throw in a system I just picked up for near free if anyone has any other suggestions.

No. I've run FFXI at 1920x1080 (at least) on the predecessor to that card (5450, same brand, fanless, etc). Personally I had trouble with the HDMI interface flickering, but that could have been something else in the chain.

If you're looking at paying retail for a card, you could probably find a GT 430 for about the same after rebate, or on sale. A 128-bit variant would be a bit better performance, though still well on the bottom of the performance heap. A GT 520 or 64-bit GT 430 would be the same or worse as a 6450, but should be a similar cost if you'd simply prefer nVidia.

Just HDMI that I saw, and it could well have been the cable (though I don't have the issue with the HD3200 integrated on the mobo or the fanless GT 430 I have in my HTPC now). I'm using the card in my server now, and it's rock solid on DVI.

This is what I'm currently using and have no problem running D3 @ 1980 x 1080 w/ max settings and when I played XI, zero issues dual boxing at max settings, but that also depends on your processor as well, its a decent card that will hold you over until you want something a little more heavy duty.

And I think he is pretty much saying that they are good for wsing. As far is if they are better than avant +1 not really sure. The testing on them is somewhat inconclusive last I saw

Alright, I'm tired of fighting with myself about it. The basic accepted Ukko's set (M.Oto+1/Grim+1/heca hands+1 etc etc) is one that I own, but I can't help help but think that sets that rely heavily on crit+ (zahak's/afv3+2 head/aug bellicus/etc) would be better. I'm guessing the rationale is optimize for non-crit, and when it does it'll be that much better. Is that right? This might garner a lot of negative attention, but I'm learning, so I don't care.
