I've had 5 magic merits since 75, to gain access to the highest tier magic. Without merits, highest nuke the auto can do is like Fire V or something.

Exactly, that's why magic merits are now not that useful. Thunder V is learned at 389 skill, and that's the skill cap of Spiritreaver (BLM head, A+ skill) automaton at 95.

Any decent nuking legs for Sch? All I can see is augmented Literae, Teal or Rubeus. Don't have Rubeus and I'd feel dirty about using Teal.

Sch doesn't really have a lot of leg options, Teal is probably your best bet short of augmented literae.

Someone in the Media section mentioned getting a mule Argute +2 legs to nuke in before Narse legs. Maybe those?

Pretty sure those are usually worse than Teal, at least for pure damage. Has about ~7 more magic accuracy I think. And -5 enmity if it matters for your nukes

I still use Teal. I'd use Rubeus if I had it, but the improvement is pretty marginal.

If Narse is Nares, I don't think HP+4% MP+4% MND+14 "Cure" potency +7% will do much for your nukes.

If you are having terrible resist problems, sure. Otherwise, Teal is surpassed, damage wise, by 12 or more INT (if no mab present). I base my calculations on Blizzard V, Thunder V has a higher D, so surely int will matter even less on that one.

Probably. If FFXI.dll is in use by the pol.exe process then it can't be replaced with the new version.

Any have good places to skill up Dagger/Club/Staff Post 225...I know Abyssea... but what mobs would you recommend.

I did crabs in misa/grau. Just be sure to stack up on regen atma if you don't have an alt healing you. If you do, stack double/triple atk atmas.

THF hands for extra TH
NIN hands and feet
RNG feet
DRK hands
WAR hands and legs

Not sure on anything else.

For thf +2 the relic feet too.

Cheers for all the SCH leg stuff, I'll probably shoot for some good literae pants, looks like max you can get is Int+6 MaB+4, and I have nothing else to spend them on. Though it's gonna take a lot of luck to get them better than teal. Awww... I don't wanna use fucking teal.
