Found out my 12 year old niece is getting bullied at school. Going tomorrow myself because the brother-in-law, her father, is a chicken shit beta faggot. I have zero fucking tolerance for this shit, when I was growing up I never once hesitated to defend my little brother or sister.

Not sure what you think you're gonna do. Presumably her father told her how to handle them herself, but if he didn't I suppose you can do that. But you can't step in and handle it for her, that'll just make it worse. Or get you arrested. Keep in mind, she has to deal with these kids when you're not around. You'd probably be wasting your time if you talked to the school. I suppose you could talk to the bullies' parents, but if they prove unable to control their children you don't have much recourse.


I am interested in what you ultimately decide. I like being an Uncle, and my grand niblings will always have at least half a dozen uncles counting me, so anything I learn can be passed on to the other Uncles.

I understand completely what you're saying, and I don't begrudge people the right to talk how they wish. But man, I've been called a faggot for holding my boyfriend's hand before - that was ten years ago, and it still smarts. I can still remember the feeling.


I'm not judging Xno or anyone. Please let me be clear on that. Just makes me sad that the word is so commonplace, even when it doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality.
