Random Fail: First World Problems

Got volunteered by my director to handle the changeover to a new operating system for all of our Clubs in September 2017. I have been given zero information as of so far on anything. VP comes by today and wants me to talk about where we're at and what the schedule is leading up to the change at our yearly meeting with 50 members of the management team in all 4 regions on Thursday of next week. I have never had a panic attack in my life but I'm pretty sure I had one this afternoon. Fuck.

Been about 2 months since I started going on Tuesday rides w/ a local bike group and I'm still getting a solid last place (by a fair margin) every week, lol. No improvement at all. Getting dropped at pretty much the same spot every time then I just go solo to the finish and head home from there

At that point finally in my career where it sucks trying to talk to people because everyone's in crazy time zones. One's in China, another's in South Africa, one's in Israel but the one I want to talk to the least is in EST and she seemingly never sleeps and might be too dumb to realize there's a 3 hour time difference between us.

Had some homemade enchiladas tonight, then we lost power for about 90 minutes (why they decided to work on power poles at 7pm I don't know). Fun times to not be able to flush a toilet.

no, that's a first world rural problem.

it's funny, my sister's house is still technically zoned rural despite being surrounded by subdivisions. they're still on well water and their own septic and everything... including shitty rural internet. 2 blocks over, my niece has great internet and city water/sewer. it would cost them a bunch of money to switch, so they don't. they just use my niece's internet any time they need to do a big download lol.

also, I hate mornings. it takes me several hours to fully wake up, even with black tea (enough caffeine to help, not enough to bother my guts) fueling me, and there's nothing interesting going on in the mornings. plus my guts are usually unsettled. but I still need to be up at ~7 every morning so I can move my car if we get snow.

this combines with my win to present a first world problem: the only shift that is going to let me continue to do any of my hobbies (with the people I enjoy doing them with) starts at 10 am... late enough that I can probably BE there on time reliably, if I buckle down and streamline my routine.... but early enough that I won't enjoy it.

I have become addicted to black tea. It is the only thing that helps get rid of my headaches and wakes me up in the morning but doesn't make me double over with gut pain. I try to mix it up with mint tea sometimes so I don't get too caffein dependent.

Green tea does not agree with my digestive system for some reason but black tea is fine. I used to drink a ton of green tea then I realized what it was doing and stopped.

Today reddit added native filtering, and I could get rid of RES, but I'd have to manually import all the filtered subreddits I added.
