Normally try to avoid such things but she talked about how they were trying to rebuild the bridge to the church but the county was screwing them over wanting permits and environmental assessments and such plus she had salt caramel chocolates. Our boss is on vacation until after the 1st so essentially nothing is happening at work these next two weeks except essential day to day operations which leads to long, slow, boring days. I can only browse BG and Reddit so much. After three days of this the company VP has noticed the staff really doesn't have much to do and is encouraging people to just go home after half a day. So of course everyone with a salary is doing just that but me being an hourly schmuck I'm stuck here till 6 each day just to earn a paycheck. Hooray.

Thankfully I was there to help today but having 1 person to answer calls and emails for 3 stores for 2 hours is ridiculous. They hire people who don't show up at the scheduled times yet because they have baby daddy issues it gets overlooked but I dare be sick and am reminded I must have a doctor note..wtf. Hire people that work what you give them not the other way around. Also taking over 2 months to hire people is what makes them walk , no one is waiting that long for shit pay.
