Well that's their own fail.
It's not like it was 11.57 + tax
10 bucks flat with 7% tax is math that you can instantly do in your head. 10.70. I took half a look at the receipt and knew it was wrong, lol.
It's like the dumbasses at Waffle house. Double angus cheeseburger is 2 dollars. I'll order one and they'll be like "Do you want cheese? It's 50 cents extra" No the fuck it's not. It's listed as a cheese burger on the menu for 2 bucks.
I literally have to be holding the menu and point to them the exact item and note the price to get it for 2 bucks otherwise they try to upcharge it every other time.
Both my managers are sick with plenty of sick time left and both are here working. Seriously stop being cheap and fucking go home. I have vacation after next week and have next to no immune system. This is the third time in 6 months this shit is going around.
lol I always prioritize money over a day off (especially one where i can't go out and do anything fun).
As long as I'm physically able to work, best believe I'll be there, so on that front, I can't blame em
Yeah but work to you is eating food shirtless in front of webcam
Okay well when they tell us to not come in that's what sick days are for yet won't do the same and are sneezing and coughing constantly it pisses me off. My other coworker has had a heart transplant and is even more immune sensitive than me but that's another thing entirely. We have damn good benefits so yeah fuck that.
I make a point to go to the gym when i'm sick and cough on all the weights so as to better reduce the number of people in my way there in the following days.
One of these days I hope I make the guy that supersets with 10 sets of dumbbells and leaves them on the floor die of a super flu.
I'm not sure what exactly a manager is like where you are but most boss types that are good are like that. Supposed to set a higher standard as leader than you expect of those under you but maybe hope they take the example. Plus some have complexes that make them think they are more needed than others
Time for my fwp. So boss gave us your Christmas bonuses. Been doing it for last few years. Normally just gives out a few hundreds depending on how long you been here/how much you work (like the guy only been here 3 months only got 1 I think). Anyways this year boss decided to make it super official and run it thru our accountant and put it on our paystub. So this year ~15% of my bonus is going to the government. Thanks Obama
@Das/Zeb
My uncle got 2 grand in cash for his bonus this year.
No I agree with you that managers should hold a higher standard don't get me wrong but it can be frustrating to explain to them why I get sick so often when they don't. It's why I'm grateful for double coverage medical insurance for no copays and no prescription costs to cover my ass.
We get $50/ year cash bonus that isn't taxed but then the raffle prizes we can win like I did do get taxed on due to new accounting procedures. Sucks but it's life. If we qualify for our elite dealership bonus that's taxed as well but is expected.
My boss gave away $100 worth of scratch off lotto tickets to ONE person who won an unofficial raffle at our office Xmas party. The winner was the young rich dude in sales right out of college who already has his own house and new truck and no wife or kids.
If it makes you feel better, the value of what he won is likely less than $100.
I almost got a job that said they averaged around 15% of the yearly wage... but been like 4 years since I had been in the work so was rusty competing with people still doing the job so I was a bit of a dog. Almost made it apparently. Probably for the best. They closed that plant down like a year later... but shit I would've made more that year than I make in like 3-4 years here with 1/3 the cost of living if you call being in NH living uggg. Still I should really get off my ass and get a good job.
there are multiple people in my office who have never heard the song "All I Want For Christmas Is You"
like... what? how?
I understand not liking it. Mariah is not for everyone. but having never even heard it?
Going to the Giants/Redskins game on the 1st by myself because the wife works and the friends are too lazy to drive down to the DC area from NYC.
