it's really not that surprising that someone with cream soda's life doesnt really know who paul mccartney is lol
That is Sir Paul McCartney, vile knaves.
If I didn't work at K-Mart during the holidays at one point, I'd probably be on that list. Pretty much loathe christmas music and avoid the radio when driving post-Thanksgiving. And since I'm at the point where I record or download most TV shows, I either skip through commercials or they're cut out entirely. And even when I do listen to music, it's usually rock/metal, which tends to be out of her genre.
Not super surprised there may be similar people, I guess.
I know it's selfish, but my FiL is in the hospital and not doing well. I'm hoping he holds out until after our Vermont vacation. I want to enjoy the week, but it's also something my wife looks forward to every year. We go with 4-6 other friends and party the whole week; always a great time. It's our one real vacation for the year because it's basically the only time I can take more than a few days without everything at work blowing up.
Also, it's fucking Christmas and New Years. It's a terrible time to have a family member pass.
It's not selfish it's human and I agree losing someone around this time of year is shit. I think it's only selfish when we keep someone on life support who has strictly expressed the opposite or try to make it easier for us. It's hard to let go , losing both my parents I totally understand..I've been a wreck this week.
He's not on life support or anything, luckily. He's had cancer and his condition has been deteriorating. We thought we were going to have to make an emergency trip up last weekend, but he stabilized a bit. I'm not completely in on the details; my MiL is vague at best and my wife was too upset to talk about it last night.
She went up Wednesday rather than tonight/tomorrow when we were originally going to head up to her parents'. I guess I'll find out how bad it is tomorrow when we go visit him in the hospital. Won't make it up there tonight before visiting hours are over.
EDIT: The one thing I was able to say, though, was that at least we knew it was coming and were able to spend more time going up to visit. My mom died a few years ago within a two week period. She was an alcoholic and her kidneys and liver started failing. It was her birthday weekend, too. I had two weeks to spend with a mostly unconscious mom. She's had two years of her dad continuing to be fairly active for a terminally ill person that was in and out of the hospital every few months.
Fucking pussies doing 20 (12 mph) in a 60 (37) cause of some snow.
I thought we established in the NHL thread that people in Montreal can't handle snow, despite being in Canada.
My car is all fixed from my run-in with a deer which is great, but I can't pick it up until Monday because they called five minutes after I left for work and they won't be open late enough tomorrow. Meh.

Not my fail but 2 coworkers as they were leaving work today mentioned it's time they started Christmas shopping.... good luck
it's not even snowing anymore (and the roads are just wet, not even slushy) and people on the fucking interstate doing 40
bitch you are the only hazard on this fucking road
I was tellin my GF on the way home during that big blizzard we got a few weeks ago: the only things i'm afraid of during a storm are 1: other drivers 2: unexpected debris and 3: other fucking drivers. The snow itself is not really a hazard, just gotta pay the fuck attention.
i'm fine going the speed limit in some pretty nasty weather but if there's any traffic near me I drop my speed drastically so I can respond to their dumbfuckery.
When I lived in Germany motherfuckas would always be hauling ass on the autobahn regardless how much snow lmao. Took me awhile to get used to the dumbfuckery of the states again during the winter with people doing 30 in a 60 mph zone lol.
Once again despite staying far within budget I bought too much shit and didn't remember until wrapping commenced. I'm ready to just say gift cards all around next year.
Realised I'm an alcoholic.
Have already bought entire family some very nice booze (cask strength Aberlour, artisan gin, etc) for Christmas. Can't trust myself to help them taste it.
Bah humbug. I've got a whole world of mineral water and diet coke waiting for me.
There's a giant fucking box in the garage and I have no idea what it is.
We were supposed to do small gifts like t-shirts cause we did the Boston/NFL game trip as our big gift. Then I find out she spent over 150 so I get her this 190$ massage facial gift card thinking it'll be fine. Then this huge fucking box shows up so I know her gift is way fucking better than mine. She won't care, but I do I feel like a jerk. I'm gonna wrap this gift card in such a massive box now.
