clams and mussels are the kings of shellfish lets get that straight rite now. Oysters dead last.
I will order mussels almost every time I see them on a menu.
Question! Putting off hw right now and looking at things to do, these lights been burnt out since I moved in. Does anyone know what kind they are? I'm not familiar with em but they look kinda similar to this i guess? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001LJKLT4...p10perfec05-20

I haven't yet. I was going to suggest it for my dad's birthday, but he went to Vermont with his fiancee and this week is his fiancee's birthday. May try next week maybe. Wife is being a bit of a pain in the ass. Friends want to go to Philly next week to see our other friend's band, but I told her my dad's the priority so she's going to have to calm the fuck down for a bit.
This past weekend we were supposed to go to her mom's while my dad was gone for the weekend, but she decided that she wanted to go to another friend's EP release show. This weekend, rather than joining my dad and his fiancee for dinner, she wants to go to her mom's, and now next weekend she wants to do the Philly thing.
Philly is okay. I've only been 2 times, but they were party weekends. First time was for this same friend's band. Got the VIP treatment at the Made in America festival. Drank free all day, VIP food trucks (no lines, cheaper), and met some of the other bands/organizers. I asked my friend (the one in the band) if he wanted the "shitty girly drink," a Bud Mango-rita, in front of the event's Budweiser rep.
Second time was for one of my best friend's weddings and got completely ripped. Was my wife's first real interaction with my childhood friends and she made a very drunk impression on them.
I guess I went one time when I was in elementary school, but that doesn't count.
Oysters from any mom & pop restaurant along the Gulf coast are heavenly. Two exceptions to this: First, don't eat them raw unless you enjoy eating giant boogers, I guess. Second, don't eat anything from the waters around Mobile, Alabama.
Don't eat them raw?
Are you fucking serious?
Enjoy your giant boogers.
You should be eating them raw. I've had them baked, and it's weird.
It's a texture vs. taste issue for me. Raw oysters just feel like giant globs of snot, which I do not enjoy having in my mouth.
Oysters are good in any form.
Fried
Baked
Chargrilled
Raw
