I like to run my AC as seldom as possible in the summer, both in my vehicle and house. I think it started cause I wanted all I could get out of those four cylinders in my 240SX.

Cold is easy, get some good gear. Heat is easy here in the US, although that Pliocene we're now living will certainly show us new extremes.

Dude defending cold is taking more of a cold extreme and comparing it to a less extreme heat I feel. -40C vs 35C, I'll take that hundred degrees all day just cause I can. -40C vs 45C, give me that cold please. We experienced 51C in the Omo region in Ethiopia, and now Florida or Texas heat is easy peasy. I've only experienced -33C or so for my coldest extreme, cold enough to know it quickly gets unbearable outside but also that such temps are less common than hundred-degree days for these latitudes.

Although for full disclosure, I moved from humidity to the high desert cause dry heat is the best.

I spoke in both Celsius and Fahrenheit for the Canadians.

Psh what part of cali is that? I've been coming down to the bay area since the late 80s and pretty much every year had a couple of 100s. This last summer was actually one of the most temperate I remember but drought was ending and floods were on there way. But even my shit poor part of town apartment from the 60s with water you can taste has at least wall units

Even though I hate the heat my wife and I may buy a property in the Philippines in the next 5-10 years so it will be paid for when we retire. Hopefully the awesome food, scenery, and (if it holds up) exchange rate is still great it will make me forget about that heat.

Cold is easy to deal with.

Experienced California summer last year so I can say it's definitely easier dealing with cold. Snow is the huge pain in the ass during the winter months.

Wish I could live in fall weather all year round. Fall weather is best weather.

I've dealt with both the dank humidity and the dry arid heat. From swimming to your car from the front door in Brazil, to a heat dryer being blown in your face from Iraqi winds. I've also dealt with with ridiculous negative double digits in Alaska and parts of Europe.

There is simply no comparison. The cold is exponentially easier to deal with. With heat you're left at the mercy of logistics to remain comfortable.

My wife wants to do Cavite. She says it's kind of country-ish but still close to everything. Very nice area. Just taking a quick peak at homes they look to run anywhere from $37k-$80k.

Managed to trip and fall UP the steps in the laundry room. Two cracked ribs. Took two vics then went over to our friend's house for dinner. Ended up coming home at about 8:30 and almost immediately tossing up everything I ate. Which, with the ribs, felt amazing. I had forgotten how much my stomach does not get along with painkillers.

My gf manages to do stuff like that somehow. Even after seeing it in action I still can't wrap my head around how it happens. It's like watching characters go thru those optical illusion stairs
