Random Fail: First World Problems

Hmmm reading the comments on ting suggests a rather alarming amount of people have problems trying to just get a sim card to put in a phone they bought themselves so almost looks like you have to buy from them or risk a huge headache. But they are charging $80 more for the same model directly from the vendor <.<. Google phones look interesting and the Pixel looks pretty comparable to the S7 I was looking at but again about $80 more. Bah looks like need to research more

Here is the exact SIM we bought for my wife's phone. My S3 didn't need it (it's Sprint branded). Sold by Amazon and zero issues installing. I forgot to mention that we live in a somewhat small town where Verizon is king but we do not have any issues with reception for calls or sending texts. We only use wifi really so I can't comment on connection quality.

From the comments it looks like previous sprint ones are having the hardest time. Guess it's some newish thing with regulations or something. So sometimes apparently even buying their sim card from their site and installing it in a brand new out of the box phone comes up with previous bill issues or some weird shit lol. Probably just call them to see if they resolved the issue. Or maybe try cricket like my gf is trying to get me to do. "unlimited" data (throttles after 22g a month) for $60 isn't bad but I feel there has to be a catch plus looks like Ting is somewhat better coverage in the surrounding hills around here at least according to the maps.

In other news just had the worst customer ever. So some doctor shows up when we open the store at noon. They have several boxes of medical records they want us to destroy because that's what we do... but they don't want to "waste" money on things that don't need destroyed so they want to sort thru it. So for 4 hours her and her employee are sorting thru it all and it's time for us to close and they want us to stay open until they are done in who knows how many hours. Best part is the amount they separated out after 4 hours would've only costed them $7 at most and they paid someone for 4 hours to help them sort it. When being a cheapskate goes wrong

You should take a look at your actual data usage. If you're not going to use more than 1-2GB you may be better off on Fi. Any data you don't use (rounded up to the nearest whole number) is refunded. For example, my plan is for 3 or 4 GB, but I only use 1 and change a month so I only pay for 2GB, or $20 for data.

Oh yeah I saw that I was just citing the higher craziness. But even at lower amounts the cricket is as cheap or cheaper. But no idea how the service compares. Gf uses it but she also got a $1 no name refurbished phone thru them too so might just be terrible because of that. And google will definitely have good service

My company has a service where your cable box will read off the menu as you navigate it. Its pretty nice for loke blind people and whatnot.

This morning, a significant portion of michigan woke up to find their cable boxes talking to them... and the setting to turn it off doesnt actually turn it off. There are no procedures for this issue so were all just kinda winging it. Got it resolved by sending a signal that we normally dont send to this guide because it fucks em up bad. Lulz were had. Poor customers tho.

I'm just over everyone today. Hectic day at work ( at least I'm never bored) , then left waiting in the the rain almost 20 minutes for a second uber/lyft after my first one pulled some bullshit claiming he was at my pickup yet was at least 9 miles away SO reported that. Then second uber was absolutely inept and had to practically talk him to my building.

Then try to order pizza and quoted 35-45 minutes, 70 minutes later still nothing so call to cancel I'm not dealing with that after today. Their excuses were they usually quote 55-60 minutes which was not even close to what I was quoted so fuck you guys . Now my cats won't stop fighting and I haven't eaten since 11:30am.
