Random Fail: First World Problems

eyyyy who could have guessed that the guy who told me he loved me two dates in is now pulling back and creating gigantic amounts of space six weeks later, only after I finally caved and allowed myself to feel for him and express said feelings.

I'll be ok tho. what I felt for him was based in need, not reality. I mean it's six fucking weeks, that's really not long enough to be so invested. I made a mistake letting this happen and I'll learn from it. I knew dating at my age (at any age really) would be a learning process, and now it's time to step back, focus on myself, do all the things, get laid, ain't no problem. maybe we'll hang out in the future and maybe we won't but I need some time to cool off and decide what I want out of this, now that I have a clearer picture of who he is. he's not a bad person but his issues are bleeding over into my life and that ain't gonna happen no mo'.

still sad though. we have so much in common and the physical attraction is intense. :/ but fish in the sea, etc. once I feel a bit better I'mma get right back out there. this really could be a win or a fail depending on how you look at it. the feels suck tho

Man, I see why TSA get such a shitty rap. I travel all the time with work so I know the drill and always just do what I'm told without question because they are just doing their job. But got pulled aside today for a pat down of my groin which I was totally OK with, didn't resist or make any comments about it. He obviously finds nothing but has to do the swab thing on hands after which again I'm fine with. He says to follow him so I do and then he grabs me really hard by the upper arm after we had walked a few steps and practically drags me despite no resistance on my part and me already willingly following him. This is to move the whole of 10 foot to the testing station where it immediately turns up as clear.

Like there was zero reason for him to use any force whatsoever yet he still did. And what makes it worse is the guy in front of me had to do the same thing yet received no force whatsoever. Only difference between us being he was a bigger guy with his family, I'm travelling alone.

Even after it all I still said nothing and just grabbed my carry on and left. But I can totally see why people complain about them now. Thought it was people being over dramatic about being patted down and the body scans but clearly some of the staff are just dicks (I've been patted down plenty of times in the past without incident)

My first world problem: My D&D group meets on Wednesdays at 7pm. I have about a 35 minute train ride and 5 minute walk to the shop where I play.

While on the train I got an email (No service but it was sent during the train ride) saying it was cancelled. 15 minutes before the start. I didn't even look at my phone until after I got to the shop and found out it was cancelled. Motherfucker don't waste my motherfucking time. Is it REALLY that hard to know an hour ahead of time? No, it's not.

tl;dr Time is money, quit wasting mine.

Trying to find after school care for my daughter is driving me up the fucking wall.

We pay $1300 a month at one center because they give 10% off for siblings and another 10% off if you pay at the beginning of the month for the whole month. This center has another location next to her soon-to-be elementary school. I was going to switch them both there, and I would have gone down to $980 per month (full day for son, after school care for daughter). NOPE. Last week the elementary school decided to take that building back and open up a half-day preschool. Center they currently go to does not do pickup at that elementary.

Now looking for other options and it looks like I may have to pay about $450 for her which means I'll be paying $1170.....I mean I am going from a full day to about 3 hours per day with her and I will only get to save about $200. That is fucking insane to me.

In two years I can hire an after school nanny for both my kids, and I will probably end up paying ~$700 for the two, but it's not worth it for one kid.

I absolutely love Santa Clarita, but this leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth.

I was in washington last month, room was 350+ a night. Joke of a bed, small ass TV, stand up only shower, basic of the basic everything. No breakfast unless you wanted a 20 dollar omelet..

I look forward to texas trips just because their hotel game is amazing compared to most of the country.

San Antonio isn't Washington DC. SA has a baller hotel game though, I got upgraded at the Hyatt Regency there a few years ago for a wedding weekend and it was the tits.

San Antonio exists entirely as a convention town which is the reason nice hotels are so cheap.

DC is the opposite. people HAVE to go there, so hotel are 20x more than they should be.

I understand that, it is fun watching the prices change so quickly. M - W they were about 350 to 400, T-F they drop to about 250, Weekends they would be around 190.

I try my best not to go to washington for this reason. I don't mind paying 400+ (Not my money most of the time) but at least try....

I might send my kids to a charter school. I feel so guilty, but it may actually be a really good fit for them. It is a STEAM school (fuck you Sath or anyone bitching about the A). It's actually highly rated, so we shall see. They provide aftercare for $375 a month, and if my son goes too in a few years they give 20% off each.

A STEM school with Arts added into it. They are project-based schools. Basically kids do projects constantly that incorporate all the STEM (and art) subjects, which is how they learn. I actually have a certificate for project-based teaching. It's really effective in high school at least. A lot of times the projects are about solving a problem, so it really promotes critical thinking skills. I don't know how they set it up for little kids. I am going to try and take a tour next week.

The A is sort of a PR thing happening lately for schools to push the arts, which while doesn't make much sense, I don't care if it means that art is getting included.

All kids are required to have chromebooks and they can learn Spanish, Mandarin, or Hebrew early on. Guess they provide Rosetta Stone to every kid.
