When i say my gf came around on it i dont mean i pestered her or anything. We talked about it. I was always ambivalent, so i wasnt concerned either way. She was anti and i was dine with that. Then we had a scare and i guess my reaction got her thinking and she changed her mind on her own. So people can definitely do that. i think its worth investigating all possibilities before terminating the relationship.

Personally i get my parenthood fix vicariously so im not too concerned with being one myself so either way works.

I mean, did you read the part where I said not to do exactly that if you (Zet to clarify) aren't being honest? Or is your rage for not having kids so bad you can't realize not everyone's situation is exactly like yours? We get it, you don't want kids. No one is saying you need to have kids. No one is saying, myself included, Zet needs to have kids either.


No where did I say he had to come around, I said IF he did, based on his post where he said they were trying to work things out, then to be honest and not just act like "she can raise them herself" just so he doesn't lose her (and she doesn't lose him).

Or are you ok with men doing exactly that? (Being mentally absentee fathers, that is.) Which I see happen way too often.

I agree with one caveat: oversized bags. A bag too big for its can will always have enough bag left over that you can tie the bag itself.

Bonus points for oversized drawstring bags.

I managed to convince the family to stop getting shitty garbage bags and instead bulk rolls of stringed ones from a place called Rural King. They're technically lawn bags, but their durability beats the shit out of the majority of grocer bought ones and they have a hideously bad habit of overfilling their cans or putting things in they probably shouldn't.

Of course, when they run out, I still wind up dealing with this tissue paper-like shit from time to time. Why they buy the stuff when it loves to rip just when trying to take it out of the can, I'll never fucking know.

I'm honestly glad to hear it , it sounds like you both care for each other very much which is important regardless of the future.

I've said my opinion- yes I admit it comes from my life experience /home situation/upbringing/trauma but I think most strong opinions have some background.

We all have to figure out what's best for our life regardless. As long as each of us can say at the end of the day we are confident that we are living the lives for ourselves and not to meet some expectation set by society or family or any other influence for that matter then it's all good.

Life's too fucking short to live for anyone or anything else. I'm almost 39 just learning that but know I could have had a better grasp on things had I realized it sooner. It's never too late for me to learn new things and perspectives though.

What are people's perspectives towards if it is weird or not to be apathetic or even hate people. Yet consider yourself overall on the same team and thus wish to share in an affinity for success together?

Label it shower thoughts, but I was thinking about this during one.

For instance, for as many people dislike me over the intewebzOftubez, I hate them back even more. If I took something, say Reddit for example. I would say that I fucking despise their ineptitude, sensitivity, mindsets, and their borderline weeaboo trash. Yet, I feel that I must have less of a distaste when it comes down to it because I want to see everyone overall be successful and less pieces shit than people naturally are. Which isn't to say "being polite" because we all know I don't care for that jazz.
