Random Fail: First World Problems

So one of our customers keeps playing musical chairs. In that they have around 8-10 different subnamed offices that they keep switching locations (all in a very small out of the way town I might add, though they do have a couple of offices in other areas they don't do that shit and have a normal amount of offices for the area). So they a lot of times end up switching with another but there is no signs so when we go to the location where that one was they tell us we were just there (we weren't just there they had just seen us at the other location) but even better they don't always do it at once. So sometimes they will just leave one and it will like that for awhile then open up another one somewhere else and we think oh that's where they moved but no they moved into where one already was and that one moved where to the new place. And this shit has been happening at least once a month for the past like year. Also quite often just get "rid" of some though the people and the office exists but it's like they shut down a department in name only just to make up another name and such.

And lately they've been yelling at us for going to the "wrong" place. Aside from being annoying as fuck to deal with it also looks really shady which pisses me off since it's a non-profit that is supposed to be providing support to foster families

Had my first puking passenger on Uber this weekend. Head out the window, yakked all over the side. Gave me 20 bucks so a quick run to a 7 dollar gas station drive through fixed it. Random win was this quote though before I dropped him off. "Sorry man. I've had a rough night. Found out my girl is pregnant and I told her she's getting an abortion even though I don't believe in abortion."

Honestly, it can be hit or miss. My area is more suburban so the weather can have a huge effect on it. I typically do just Friday/Saturday nights unless there's a rider bonus I'm close to a rider bonus, then i'll trek out on Sunday. This past weekend I made about $390 in fare's for 17 hours of work plus a $130 bonus. Spent maybe 100 in gas (2015 Acura TLX) and will set aside about $100 for taxes though if it's like last year, I barely owed 115 for 3+ months of work during the holidays.

Have a friend that works for AT&T and warned me against it. Plus all the adds they send me about it say the words high speed but the numbers are horribad. My apartment is pretty old and shitty but sonic is doing it's best to take over my area. They claim to be able to service around 60% of the greater bay area

Beach house I had in Pacifica before deciding I hated everything about California except the food had Comcast, as it was the only provider in region. West coast Comcast is fucking garbage, for some reason back in CT here it's phenomenal, great customer service, never have connection issues etc.

Fucking credit card got skimmed over the weekend. Caught it in time as the scammers only used it around 6am EST, so they won't be getting any merchandise, but now I have to call my insurance agent on Wednesday to update my card, and update my card info at AT&T, Comcast, Netflix, and whatever subscription boxes Astylla has.

We luckily don't have many connection issues but their customer service is a joke.

The one in my town is still sending people to the address I work 2 years after they moved their office. And it's not like they haven't updated since they were even further away from us before. And by sending I mean not only does their website say so but when you call them they tell the people to come to us.

Todays fail. It's pretty warm. Like 90 today and my apartment keeps heat in really well so decently hotter inside. So first thing I do when I get home turn on AC take a shower. Get out sit around for a bit and notice it's hardly any cooler. Look at wall AC unit and see somehow it got changed to heater and was set to 80s.... but I didn't really notice because the air coming out of it was still cooler than inside my apartment <.<

They also totally deny they cycling my bandwidth down to about 5 kb/s when I start downloading just about anything despite it happening everything single time to the point it actually dcs me from ffxi. And they claim I never drop below 50 mb/s or something

To reign in costs, our company promoted two people, who did a metric fuckton of OT last year, to salaried positions. Oh the joys of corporate bullshittery.

On the topic of internet, I remember when I was getting my cell phone upgraded at AT&T. They asked me about my home internet. Gave me a quote for some 15down/2up crap plan. Told them I was already getting 50down/5up. It shut them down immediately.

More AT&T bullshit: Called them couple of weeks back bc issues, they asked me about my intranet. Told 'em I had Spectrum @ 40 down and 10 up w/e for 30 bucks. She then proceeded to tell me how AT&T is installing 'new cables' and their 18 down 3 up megs 40 buck package is comparable to that of Spectrum or 'even better under certain conditions' lmao. Really, niggas?

Edit: Btw, a friend who lives in Compton is stuck w/ AT&T's 40 buck 3 down and 700kbs up intranet.

Disclaimer: I know the yearbook sucks for every teacher on the planet who is assigned to do it. This is just a vent, I did it last year, it sucked, I knew it would suck this year. I just need this to relieve some steam.

Yearbook is due tomorrow, so I took a work at home day today to get it done, and it frustrates me how some yearbook staff students were amazing, and some were just lazy as all get out. Football page is not done and the kid started it in NOVEMBER. NOVEMBER! Baseball and Softball pages weren't done at all. etc. etc.

Whats frustrating too is we didn't get the senior portrait photos until last week, so I'm trying to get all those up.


cherry on top: Going to try and put in the play on one half spread. Co-teacher comes in to teach the class, so I messaged her to take some extra photos. She asked me to have a student remind her, so I texted a few. Now they are blowing up my phone with USS random crap because teenagers are teenagers and I wish they would learn to check their emails so I didn't have to text them.

Working all day outside in the sun in 90 F with no real breaks lifting shit allergies just started flaring up yesterday and of course we are right near some trees and a creek and get home and water is fucking out with no warning.

Dad's too much of a lazy ass to take my mom to the hospital tomorrow for her kidney surgery, which means I get to sit bored in the hospital for probably half the day after waking up early and driving 2 hours into Pittsburgh traffic.
