Third Uber drive last night was a 70 mile slosh to the middle of fucking no where, where I couldn't pick up additional riders without risk of going even further out. 3+ hours of my life gone for $69 bucks. But he felt justified that tipping wouldn't be necessary because it's a part time job you can do on your own time and that should offset an hourly wage loss....... Never mind the fact his company picks up his uber tabs.

Compliance requested for like 300 files to be updated this afternoon. So I have to dig out the paper files, make the amendments, scan them in one by one, rename the files and drop them back in the correct file. Basically our document control system is garbage.

So now I have the option of staying late tonight and doing it. Or doing it the next free chance I get during normal work hours which looking at my schedule is probably 4 weeks out. So nope, gotta stay late tonight and do this bullshit or face an ass chewing for it not being done in a timely manner.

Also keep in mind this should not remotely be my job since I'm the corporate trainer not an admin lackey. To rub salt in the wounds, the other corporate trainer left early today (10 minutes prior to the compliance meeting) to buy a new fucking boat.

Overall are you happy though with the amount of money you earn? I'm genuinely curious because the only other first hand report of money earned from an Uber driver was from a Store Director for Meijer (large grocery/stuff chain in the Midwest) who said she did Uber in Sterling Heights/Macomb (North of Detroit, huge area) and made enough money in a matter of months to pay off bills, buy new car, etc. I looked into it but Uber is not around my area. Doesn't matter anyways because I have a two door and I wouldn't drive my wife's newer vehicle.

It's not as good as it used to be. 2 years ago I have heard is the seeet spot. I started holiday time last year and average fri-sat night was about 300-350 before any bonus. Since then it's died down a bit but is starting to pick up now that the weather is better. Post holiday working again just fri/sat night has been about 225-300. All this before expenses/taxes

Wawa isn't the best in the world, but you could do worse.

Giant Eagle Market District (Pittsburgh and surrounding areas) subs back when they just introduced the sub station were the best subs ever. They were 14in ($8) with good bread, and bread makes the sub. Even if you didn't want a sub, it was cheaper to buy a sub and disassemble it for meat/cheese than to just directly buy meat/cheese. Also, they had a sub club card where every 7in sub you bought was worth a punch and 10 punches was a free sub.... or it should have been, but actually they'd double-punch for buying a 14in sub and sometimes they'd just punch all the remaining slots on my card because I am a master of sub-counter small talk. I'm pretty sure about half of my calories for a few months came from Giant Eagle subs.

I'm more so disappointed that before I moved out of Sarasota I hadn't heard what Munchies 420 Cafe was. While not a sub shop, they have crazy sandwiches among other things.

I go from putting a rapist away for ten years on Friday, to getting chewed out today because one of my subordinates is a retard and his idiocy is somehow my fault.

I can't stand this fucking office. I legit want to hurt someone. I hate this feeling. I fucking hate this so god damn much. I've been shot at, I've been blown up by an IED, I've jumped out of airplanes dozens of time, I've put away pedophiles and rapists away for life sentences, but I get called incompetent today because my fucking subordinate is on the first week of his job and has no idea what to do.
