That awkward moment when you find your friend's ex gf as one of your matches on OKCupid...
I'm back.
Gadrit, since you clearly like to dig and are aware of all of my symptoms and dietary needs, why don't you design me a diet?
Just to be clear, I do not have crohn's, but your meal descriptions would give even me the horrible crampy roaring shits. I have no idea if eating ass fuel makes it worse for you with your condition or if its just a massacre every time, but I figured I would just point it out with a sprinkle of humor, because it's BG, and almost nothing is taken seriously or is sacred here.
I guess I am asking you not to be so butt hurt over this. =)
nah, not mad (today, anyway. i was cranky all day yesterday. no sleep.), i like arguments. especially when it is impossible for me to lose.
and it's mostly a matter of comfort, tbh. Nothing stops the explosive anus, I can only slow it down and reduce the pain/blood. Diet, of course, plays a role in that, but none of the "healthy" ones work. This is the only diet i've found that (mostly) avoids abdominal pain and completely eliminates the superheated glass shard poop. And it's enough calories to keep me at a healthy weight. Protein brings on the fire shits (still have to from time to time because muscle mass, but daily would be too painful) and if its greasy makes my guts bleed, and greens make the abdominal pain so bad I get nauseated and can't eat until I've passed enough gas, which can take days. Too much dairy also does this- I can have VERY hard cheese (Parmesan) but anything softer will cause gas; the more dairy, the more gas, the more pain. Onions and peppers make my intestines bleed. Probiotics don't do shit; I took a 6 month course and saw no change whatsoever, except the mild gas it gave me. Just barely enough to make me uncomfortable, but after 6 months I was sick of wasting my money.
Potatoes and rice are okay, but they get bland really fast, so I only do those if I need a change of pace. Luckily, black pepper, "low-fat" butter, soy sauce, and controlled amounts of sugar seem to be okay, so I can at least have some seasoning and whatnot. Plus, I like the taste of parmesan by itself. Sunny D is actually surprisingly low on sugar, compared to most drinks. And I trim a LOT of sugar out of the rest of my diet so I can have it, since plain water sucks. Especially here; I had to get a pitcher just for ice cubes, and it still leaves a faint smell of sulfur w/o something to overpower it.
Online dating is fine, OkCupid is not.
I think its a fine free dating website. Not a fan of plenty of fish. What are people's problems with okcupid? What other free ones are out there that I should look into?
GOD FUCKING DAMN IT
playing FTL, trying to get 'cheeves and unlock ships. get a quest that forces me to abandon the 'cheev i'm going for, but it unlocks a new hull. go for it, accidentally kill the ship and fail the quest. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Man, not to rehash the convo again, but if reheating cooked pasta is reason to get picked on that much... I can't even imagine how much I'd piss some people off.
I pretty regularly bastardize food flavors/quality/mixes/etc, mostly just out of laziness or indifference at the time. I like food to taste good, and enjoy it, and for the most part I eat pretty well... but it's just not always the highest priority.
Exhibit A:
(mix n match dinner from a month ago! this was pretty horrible...)
Spoiler: show
A lot of it is people pawning off leftovers (cause I'll always take them!), and I hate wasting food, so I'll eat pretty much anything with anything at any # days old... with some limits.
I like reheated pasta because if the sauce doesn't cover the pasta properly, sometimes the pasta can be semi hard and I like that. Gives me something to chew on.
Re. the picture above, I'm trying to figure out what those round things are on the left.
sushi
You missed my post where I mentioned pasta + sauce isn't fresh if you boil it either (and no, brand doesn't count, wtf is this. If it's dried out and packaged, the brand is irrelevant), unless you are making the pasta and sauce from scratch (which is also a long intricate process). At least lasagna has other ingredients that can be considered fresh. Hence the example.
Even if it isn't "fresh" in the extreme sense, pasta I buy from the store and boil will taste better than that same pasta after it has been refrigerated and nuked.
