UP.
The settlements are being attacked.
Bay window leaking. Try to fix. Don't fix. Check attic, roof, Take apart half of front of house, gutter, soffits, peel back shingles, can't find where water comes from. Add more flashing, roof caulk every fucking thing everywhere, put back together.
Now we wait.
Like 8 hours of work and don't know if fixed.
Condos are getting repainted, and the dudes doing it start work at 7am every day, Saturday and Sunday included.
Old age and fatherhood have turned me into a super light sleeper, so I've got a 0% chance of sleeping in until it's finished.
fiancé is a hair dresser and I'm waiting for her to get off. A customer has brought in there kid for a haircut. Infant child cannot stop crying.
Parent is keen on having the stylist use clippers instead of scissors.

Aleve gel caps melted the other day sitting in the truck. Some of ended up leaking when tried to pull them apart so now the rest are coated with some of the medicine. Thought hey it can't hurt so tried some... oh boy does it burn the throat going down lol
Both my kids used to be amazing eaters, and now are picky as shit and I keep hitting brick walls on trying to make food they'll actually eat. If they had it their way it would just be a dumb rotation of spaghetti, pizza, and burgers/nuggets. I want to keep trying foods though to expand their food choices, but it seems failure after failure. I refused to make two meals every night just to satisfy them, but at the same time it's every night of them not wanting to eat because they don't like the food. I'm not sure what changed as they used to both be really good about it. They are regressing like crazy.
Ultimate fail is when I look up "kid-friendly" recipes that shit so would not work with my kids I often wonder who the fuck actually gets their kids to eat it. Ugh.
"Too bad. No video games tonight, then." was one that usually got me when I was a kid. unless I REALLY hated it.
I'm going off 3 hours sleep and passing in and out at home. The fail is when I get this way I fade in and out and giggle at everything uncontrollably actually waking me up.
What my mom did, was go "I'm am not cooking twice, if you won't eat what I make, then cook for yourself."
Backfired in that I went into challenge accepted mode, and my diet thereafter consisted of much self made mac n' cheese, pizza, hash browns, sausage/bacon, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc.
Yours are probably still a bit to young to try that one though, if at all.
Yeah I do that, but the point is I would like them to like it. I feel like my parents did that and I was picky as shit for the longest time and part of my fats was because I hated eating all the food my parents made. So I want to find meals that they actually enjoy rather than constantly feed them shit they don't want to eat.
By all means, go ahead and remove it or get an admin to, I'm not particularly attached to it.
Hunger is a pretty good motivator. People will eat anything if they have nothing else and get hungry enough. A certain level of pickiness has almost nothing to do with the food and just kids being kids testing the waters and/or taking a if you aint first you're last approach to food
edit: boss keeps changing the formatting on our spreadsheets and seems to be under the impression the only way to change a group is to go and change those entire rows/columns. So each time I got to completely reformat the entire spreadsheet and sometimes it takes forever because he gets this great idea to do something like put borders around the cells of an entire column and then just deleted a few after the bit he's using but leaving the other ~1million rows worth of cells with stuff on them so the computer lags the fuck out over a simple spreadsheet that has 0 calculations on it
Wife and I dealt with that as well. "You can have what we're eating or leftovers" was a regular occurrence. We might adjust spice levels for their part of the meal, but otherwise just left them to deal with it. Luckily they like most vegetables/sides so it was just moving away from 'Chicken Nugget All the Entrées!'. Eat it or go hungry is the bottom line.
Swallowing my disgust at a kid's desire to put catsup on everything helped the transition. It wasn't easy but eventually they realized things taste better without it and started eating grown up stuff without many complaints.
How old are your kids?
